    Anyone using myfitnesspal?
    I find it's a great tool to help me track my macros. At first I struggled to get into Protein, but mfp has seriously helped me zero in how I need to structure what I eat to be successful.
    It also helps me track my weight and measurements.

    This happens to me often. I always pack my own food when I travel for work. I make sure my hotel room had a fridge.
    For conferences I always eat before. Also sometimes I'll bring a Protein shake in a coffee travel mug, no one asks what I'm drinking and I can sip on it whenever I want. It stays cold. Also, walk around and converse with people. There seems to always be a group of people who are standing around not eating. Stay busy. If they have healthy options, I stick to Proteins and pick at it if I feel like eating

    I've been doing some meat and cheese rolls with cucumber slices. I take 3oz of chicken or turkey deli meat, roll it with three slices of ultra thin sliced Swiss cheese. I spread a little bit, about 1/4-1/2 tbsp, of chipotle cream cheese on the ends to hold it together. It's 30g of Protein. I eat with some cucumber slices. It's delicious!

    Make sure you have gas x strips or chewables, liquid Tylenol, and broth! If you have gas pain, walk walk walk!
    Having extra pillows helped get me comfortable enough to sleep.
    You probably won't feel like eating or drinking first few days, but make sure you force yourself to drink.

    I have port tenderness too still! It's about the only thing that still hurts. I'm 10 days post op now. I'm eating about 1/2 c as well. Trying to get a lot of Protein in so I don't lose my hair.

    Only needle you'll be awake for is IV! After you'll have a needle for fills, but You'll be ok! Deep breaths!

    Day 4 post op. Took a 20 minute walk today before going back to work for a few hours. I was feeling pretty good. Haven't taken any hydrocodon since day 2 post op. I was able to eat or drink rather more than ever today, I got down 8oz Protein Shake, about 40oz Water and 4 oz of broth. We took a short walk after "dinner" now I'm beat, have nausea, and I think I over did it. Gas pain is worse at night.
    Hopefully everyone is feeling good. Looking forward to not being in pain.

    This happened to me too! But I went through 6 months of copays and visits and my surgery was scheduled for January 10th then I found out my insurance coverage changed to meet ACA standards January 1st and was no longer covering it. So I'm paying out of pocket for it now.

    May 9th! Start pre op diet 25th. High Protein, low carb is my pre op. No bread, rice, corn, heavy starch vegetables.

    I'm in the same boat! I have to wait 6 months as well. If approved by insurance I'll be hopefully getting surgery in March!
