  1. Reading everyone's experience about the lap band and the "stuck" face - it's like we were all twins. I just met with a new surgeon to get my band out. I have the option to go with the sleeve or bypass. I'm glad I'm not the only one experience all the problems this piece of junk has caused me. All I can say now is don't ever go to True Results. I'm going with a top notch surgeon, and the difference is night and day.

  3. Starting last Saturday, I noticed my band was really tight in the morning. Don't know if it's because TOM, or just a new gliche in the band. I got a small alergy pill stuck on Saturday and again onMonday - both had one or two violent struggles to get unstuck. Have any of you had this happen, and did you feel the pain of attack for days afterward? I don't think my band slipped, but it hurts to drink Water (sore esophagus/pouch?) and once my band losens up (afternoon) I can eat - I've been eating Soup or shakes.
  4.    Zoco reacted to a post in a topic: Quest Bars - they taste like cardboard
  5. I've tried the Cookies & cream, brownie and the banana nut - all which failed to impress me. I have a box of the banana nut, and I will be returning that back to Quest. I have another box of one of the variety packs (I think the one with PB&J?) that I'm going to try. I'll probably be sending that one back too.
  6. I've order some, and seriously they taste like crap. Anyone have any recipes, tips, tricks, etc? I've microwaved them for about 13 seconds, but I can't tolerate the blandness.

  10. Maybe it is my port. I thought they put below the rib. I have my 1st follow up on the 11th. I'll ask them if that is where they put it.
  11. The area to the right, and a smudge below of my left rib
  12. Anyone else experience a hard top section of their stomach a few weeks post-op? It feels like a potato is in there, or like I'm pregnant in my stomach. Is it normal?
  13. Thank you! I will get some coconut water and see if that helps.

  19. It's like 5 minutes after I take a drink I get cotton mouth. It's really weird. I've always drank lots of Water, but now I feel like I haven't been drinking at all. Crazy how surgery affects people.
  20. Since having the surgery almost 2 weeks ago, I feel like I cannot get enough Water to drink. Anyone else experience that?
  21. My actual stomach is still swollen. Don't think it's gas

  23. You may be having a gallbladder attack. I would definitely call your doctor ASAP.
  24. How long did your stomach stay swollen. Mine feels hard and tender, but I'm only 10 days post-op. Just wanted to make sure this was par for the course.
  25. Oh dear Lord that was nasty!! I crushed the pill and about died from the bitterness. The surgery made me break out in a shingles episode. My stomach is cramping from the cold apple juice. .... I'm just a mess today
  26. Did anyone eat sugar free pudding or applesauce in the first week after surgery? I have a big pill to crush and eat with something, and wanted to know if pudding was safe. I've read where it has to be Clear liquids, then I read where it says anything you can get through a straw you can have.
