  1. Carol - I feel your pain! I had Sue do it for me and it worked for her just fine. I don't dare change it either because I will never get it up there again. Someone out there will help you.
  2. Mer, where did your middle go?! You look good girl and very slim!! You have great legs!
  3. It's a sunny day here in Tacoma so get out there and walk people!!!! It's hard to stay active when it is cold and rainy. I am wanting to go into hibernation for the winter but that just added lots of weight on in the past. I'm coming up on the sixth month mark since surgery and it's a good thing I can't take it out because by now I would have stopped dieting or removed it. I'm feeling a bit discouraged from being on this plateau for sooooo long! I need a plateau breaker!!
  4. I'll be there if I'm still among the walking. I had three go down with the flu this weekend so I'm avoiding my family as much as possible, hee hee. I really don't have time for it plus I have no idea what would happen if I started throwing up with the band. Has anyone had the stomach flu while banded? I'll wear my new clothes!
  5. I hit Marshal clearance yesterday and wow did I do good. I bought Ralf Lauren pants, originally $159.00, for $39.00 and $49.00. Both were size 16, down from a 20W. I'm with Sue on the selection, it took me three hours to scour out everything and try it on. I ended up with three pair of pants, 4 shirts, and two pair of shoes. That should get me through the winter. My old clothes were just looking dated or to big. Bummer dude!
  6. Dawn - It sounds a lot like an attack that i had one time. I thought I was having a heart attack while my four boys were standing there watching. i told them to call 911 but instead they called their dad at work and he said he was on his way. About 20 minutes later when he got there it was all over but it sounds very similar to yours. In talking to my doctor she thought it might have been a gall bladder attack. They did a test but I didn't have any stones. If it had been caused by one then it had passed. I have never had another one and that was like 14 years ago. I thought I was going to pass out too and got very nauseous and the pain under my sternum was just exploding!!! It traveled out my right shoulder. I guess if it goes out your left shoulder then it is your heart and right shoulder means it is your gall bladder. I broke out in a drenching sweat and really thought I was going to die. It's a very scary thing to have happen. I'm glad your band is in good shape.
  7. Hey everyone! I know it's been awhile . . . life is soooo busy. I should be able to find some time to come out this week Mer. I'm getting my third fill tomorrow and I don't think I will be able to eat anything because I PB and throw-up on everything as it is. I guess I will do what you are doing and stick to warm liquids. I just want the scale to start moving down again. Since I started working out five times a week my weight has been stuck on the same number. Frustrating! I'm wondering if I will ever see onederland in my lifetime.
  8. Mer - i can't remember which measurments you want so I will guess . . . back of neck to where her tail attaches is 8 inches. Her neck is 7 1/2 inches, and her chest is (right behind her front legs) 11 3/4. She is just a tad block like. She is getting fat eating all of Hunter's puppy food. Congratulations on onederland!!!!! Wish I was there! I still have a way to go . . . .:faint:
  9. Sue and Mer - How was the meeting? What did I miss?
  10. Coastgirl - glad you could join our little group! The post op pain does eventually go away and you will feel great! Take it easy and don't push yourself to hard. I just got back from a 2+ mile walk in the rain. I never would of done that before this surgery. It won't belong before you will be feeling like the rest of us. . . . happy to be banded!
  11. That's a little early for me cuz I'm still picking up kids from after school sports and running them around. How about 5:30 at the mall. Sue - maybe you can bring Taylor here at 5pm and David can take them to soccer. If it's raining I think Anna will stay home and do homework instead. Do we really have to walk or can we just visit and catch up?
  12. Maybe I could meet you all for walking though . . . when and where? Mall sounds good if there is rain.
  13. I'm so bummed . . . .I was planning on going to the support group but my girls back-to-school night is on Monday and I need to meet their teachers. I'm hoping to make October 1'st even though I will just be getting back from a cruise that day. I will have to see how that goes.
  14. Yes, I'm planning on going on Monday so hopefully I will see you and I can give you that fabric. Glad the tea worked. Keep it up for a few days and then start drinking it every other day, then when things are back to regular, drink it when things start to clog. I prefer to drink it at night because sometimes it makes me feel a little bet nauseous . . . which is only slightly better then feeling septic from being stuck but good.
  15. Mer - drink a cup of Smooth Move, found in the organic section of the grocery store with the rest of the medicinal tea's. I drink mine just before bed every few days and by the next morning things are moving pretty well.
  16. I was definatly okay with the pace!!!
  17. Mer - Did your son-in-law tell you I called? I was in the north end and thought I would drive over to see you but he said you were not available . . .does that mean sleeping? Sue and I walked the Cambers Bay loop this morning, what a hill!! It was just nice to know that we could do it know matter how slow we were coming up the hill.
  18. hey there, did I miss a support group meeting at St. Joe's on Monday night? I was still in Portland cleaning out my mom-in-laws house. Mer - talk about antiques . . . I brought back lots of very old dishes and stuff. How do I find out if they are valuable or junk? Whens the celebration? I could meet today around noon to walk the mall if you want. Call me!
  19. Sounds fun! I am in to stuff reduction at my house and I have a whole house full of old stuff of Jim's mom that I am packing up so i will let you have a look at it before I e-bay or craigs list it all.
  20. Mer - Let's have a onederful celebration is honor of your reaching onederland! What fun thing could we do that doesnt' involve food?
  21. Okay . . . I was at this dinner party tonight and my friend brought these Sorbet's that were in the fruit that corresponded with the flavor. Orange in an orange, lemon in a lemon etc. She is currently on Weight Watchers and said they were one point each. she got them at Costco! How did I not know about these before now and who out there did know and didn't tell the rest of us?!!!!! Shame on you! They were delicious!!
  22. I weighed this morning and I was on another '9' number! I don't know why the weight is falling off so fast right now but this must be what they mean about a sweet spot, Ten pounds in 8 days. I can only imagine the plateau I'm going to hit when this slide stops. I'm walking this morning if anyone wants to come!
  23. Mer - keep us straight, Sue is the meeting lady and I (Wendy) am the one with the fabric for you. I like Sue's idea of showing up and doing something fun together if it's canceled. . . . maybe a movie!
  24. Merrillee - I am walking every morning on Grandview at 7:45am, after I drop the girls off to school. It is the best time for me to get it done and over with. I forgot to weigh myself today! can you believe it! I can't believe you are almost in wonderland! We got a new puppy yesterday for my husband, a manly dog, unlike puddin. I was a t a coat fitting yesterday and the head sewer gave me a bag of material that she had been saving for you. I didn't have the heart to tell her that you weren't doing dog clothes anymore. If you are going to be at the support group on Monday I will give it to you. You can still make some cute coats for your and my dogs out of it!
  25. Yea me! I'm finally on the downhill side of my ticker!!! I met my first goal of losing half of my total and in 5 more pounds I will reach my second goal which is to weigh less then my husband. I can't remember how long it's been since I weighed less then him. . . .
