  1. I woke up the other night thinking someone must be flushing a toilet over and over. Turned out it was my stomach!!! I never had these noises until I got this tight fill.
  2. http://www.zetacap.us/ I can't imagine this being for obese people. If I only had 10 lbs to lose I might try it.
  3. Tracey, I recently found out that I had mistakenly understood my dr when he told me I had a 10 centimeter band that holds 4cc's to mean that I had the 10cc band. Gosh, once I found that out things started making sense! Boy is my face red!!! :eek Good luck with your fill!!!
  4. While I do find it a little scary to be Googled, I also believe that the responsibility for anonymity lies with the user. It you don't want your private information to be available for anyone to find on Google, then make sure you don't put it on a website that is likely to be indexed. Personally, I cleaned up my profile and feel better about the indexing. It is important that people be able to find this website by reasearching on Google. That's how I found it!!
  5. Estela, I hope you find happiness soon. You deserve it!
  6. Happy birthday, VinesQueen!!!
  7. Bobby, how is your fill doing now? I just got a very, very tight fill on Wednesday morning and I am on the fence on whether I should go get some out. Did yours loosen up yet?
  8. Happy birthday, Donali!!!
  9. Welcome to bandland!!!! Glad you have had a good experience with your surgery. Yep, the gas is always the worst complaint afterwards. I took Gas-x.
  10. I just took off all my profile info, but it would not let me take my birthday off.
  11. Oh, Geez!!!! With friends like that, who needs enemies??? What an awful thing to say to someone who had just gone through a life changing surgery!!! Hey, your doing a great job! How about considering just hanging out here and leave all the snippy remarks on those other boards! Lauren, you are normal, normal, normal!!! Just try not to do it too much. It really is best to follow your drs orders. But it seems no two drs give the same orders! Mine had me do mushies on week one and on to soft solids at week 2, then solids at week 3.
  12. WoooHooo! Kimber-Lilly, great nsv! Your doing great!!!
  13. But, Marie! I don't think I can swallow a large spoon of water. It's just gonna have to wait till I can swallow that much!
  14. LOL!!! I sure didn't get a bill, where I went you paid BEFORE you got your fill.
  15. At this point I can't ever imagine wanting to eat food again! I haven't dared to take my blood pressure meds. No way I can wash it down!
  16. Good luck, Rachel! Hope all goes well and you have an easy recovery!!!
  17. OK, I will wait a few days. I just didn't expect to have trouble with water!!!
  18. I got a fill yesterday morning, 1cc. Afterwards I could only eat a couple of tiny bites of lunch, then got hiccups that lasted nearly an hour. Tried to drink a couple sips of water, more hiccups off and on for the rest of the afternoon. For dinner I managed to drink half an adkins shake then had several hours of off and on hiccups and felt miserably full for at least 3 hours. This morning seems a little better, I drank about 8oz of coffee and had no hiccups. About 1 hour later I slowly ate about half a carbwell protein snack bar. Only got a couple of hiccups, but feel miserably full again. Should I go for an unfill or is this just some swelling that will go down??
  19. Wow, I have 10 points and I'm off the scale!!! What does that mean, LOL! Also, I don't have the little triangle thing to report bad posts. I feel soooo left out, LOL!!!
  20. Monica, are you still pbing? If so, Marie is right and you don't need a fill. If you haven't pbed in a while it should be ok. The most important this is for you to discuss it with your dr. I think everybody has a different experience with fills. Some only need a little to feel restriction, some need several fills to feel it (like me!). I have been struggling with what full feels like. The truth is, I'm still not sure. There are lots of stop eating signals and again everyone is different, but some are a hiccup, runny nose, a burp, slight pain, ..... some don't get signals at all! Good luck with your fill!
  21. Vera, up until today, I had only seen the radiologists at the hosp. for fills and they never removed the previous saline. I don't think they knew how, LOL!!! From now on only my surgeon will do my fills and I am very happy about that. He did pretty good with a blind fill in his office, but if need be, he also has a 'fill room' set up at the hosp. so he can do it under flouro. Of course, I will have to pay co-pays when we use that room.
  22. LOL, Michelle!!! I just answered your question on Larae's post while you were answering mine on this thread. Too funny!
  23. Nope! I had all my previous fills in the radiology dept. at the hospital with a radiologist. They never gave a fill with a barium swallow, just used the flouro to find the port. I watched every fill on screen and they all looked like they entered the port, but what do I know? The only time I had barium was for an upper GI. I was supposed to have a fill the same day, but the radiologist claimed to not be able to see the port due to the barium being in the way! I had to go back the next day for the fill. I'm so glad I won't have to see these idiots anymore, LOL!!! Mary, I would love to get my money back but I would be willing to bet it would be next to impossible. Which radiologist would have to pay me back? The hosp. recently refunded me approx. $150 for overcharges on my insurance co-pay. I was lucky to get that much!
  24. Hmmmm..... I had about 3 teeny tiny bites of lunch today and had to stop because I felt the beginnings of pain. The pain went away, but I have had the hiccups off and on for over the last 3 1/2 hours. Can hiccupping this much hurt my band? I'm hoping this is just from swelling and will improve in a couple of days, meanwhile I am going on liquids. I have never understood why I have always been told to eat regular food after my fills, when everyone else is told to do liquids, mushies, softs and then real food.
