    No stucks.

ajtexas, thanks for the info. I am taking prylosec also, it says you can mix it into applesauce if you can't swallow the capsule, so that would work for me. I only have to take the large pill a couple of times a year if I need it, so I guess I'll just have to hope for the best. I'll talk to the pharmacist to see if there are smaller alternatives to what now take.

I haven't had my surgery yet, but I have a question about taking pills. My thyroid pill is tiny, so it shouldn't be an issue. Hopefully, I will be off the cholesteral medicine once I lose some pounds, but it is a small pill and shouldn't be an issue. Occasionally I have to take a pill that is pretty good size, about the size of an large Vitamin pill. I don't think it comes in a liquid form and I haven't asked if it can be crushed or halved. I am not worried about Vitamins because they come in so many forms now, it shouldn't be an issue. What changes have you had to make with medications because of the lap band.
  3. Wow, it looks like we have a support group going here. I have had trouble signing in, so I wasn't able to post. I haven't started my post-op diet yet, I'll start on the 30th. I am weaning myself off of carbonated sodas. I drank ALOT of soda in a day but am now down to one or two, just trying to finish up the ones I have in the 'fridge. I picked up a couple of cases of non-carbonated drinks at Costco this weekend. My no-caffine headache didn't last as long as I thought it would. I am ready for this surgery. I am 59 and my starting weight is around 230 lbs.
  4. It took me a year or so to make the decision, but now I am committed. I would have it tomorrow if they could fit me in. I go for my pre-op visit on the 30th and start the 2 week pre-op diet. I am SO ready.
  5. I just found this site today. I am scheduled for August 15.
