  1. This hospital staff is NOT nice so far. I really wish this wasn’t the place of choice. Stupid insurance and cash pay pricing.
  2. Best wishes Karen! At hospital now and pacing!
  3. We’ve got this! Dang that call telling me my surgery will be canceled if my liver is too large. They shouldn’t worry us! Praying for you, and me, for safe successful procedures. We’ve got this.
  4. Not my first either. Wish I could sleep tonight: nerves are in overdrive! Keep thinking what if my liver isn’t small enough or 1000 other things. H2Neal where is your surgery? And good luck!
  5. Near downtown! We will leave at about 4a to ensure we get there with a few minutes to spare. I'm so tickled to have connected with someone that has the same date and time! What's on your menu today? I think I'm going to start with a nectar Apple Ecstasy....23 grams Protein. Clear liquid diet day!!! YAY!!!!! Who is your surgeon? I’m having a strawberry shake right now. I’m fairly basic in choices lol. I will probably have a gladiator from Smoothie King for my dinner since it has 45g of protein. Glad we connected! I’m Crystal
  6. I wish I was in Plano. Since I’m cash pay I have to go to Lancaster since it’s the cheapest out of pocket hospital. So we will be in car at 3:45. Eeek! Where are you coming in from? We’ve got this, just got to get past these nerves!
  7. I’m tomorrow too! The nerves are here in full force. I’m excited but also terrified. I’m usually ok going into surgeries but I can’t stop the what-ifs rolling in my mind today. I am a 7am surgery with a 5 am check in time. My daughter is not thrilled by this.
  8. @abbster_tee I’ve warned my employees I’ll be cranky and moody and apologized in advance. Not thinking your students and parents will go for that. Good luck. We got this!
  9. I start today and I’m nervous. It’s the mental part of thinking about lack of food.
  10. Eeeeekkkkk!!!!! So excited for you!
  11. Same! I have so many fears I’ve never had before. This is so major that I keep overthinking it. I logically know I will be ok. Well I’m Crystal and would love to get through this together!
  12. I’m the 26th too! I bought all my shake stuff today and had a mini panic attack. I had the lap band years ago and had a bad run. Finally got it out in January and have taken time to heal. My insurance civets none of this so it’s all been very costly. Today all I could think was what if this fails? I’m scared. I know I can do this but I’m super struggling this round. Would love some friends to get through this with!
  13. Have you tried liquid vitamins? They’re much easier!
  14. Me too! Surgery on 9/26. Excited and terrified all at once!
