    Nothing fits

Steph04 Yes!!!!! it's weird and unbelievable to look at smaller sizes and think that we can actually fit it. Since my band I've lost 23 lbs, but almost everyone tells me that I look like I've lost more yayyyyy for us <3
  3. Hi, are the bras still available? If so may I see pics pls? My boobies are deflating in need of bras. thanks If you like to email pics rlee226@sbcglobal.net

    disappointing myself

Wow!!!! That's great! Don't be so hard on yourself. But also remember you're working out so muscle weighs more!! Keep that in mind. Also try not to weigh yourself every day. You're doing beyond great! Congrats
  6. Think of all the positive reasons you're doing this. I know it's easier said than done but try to not let any negative thoughts in your mind. Don't worry about something that doesn't exist. Don't feed your fears. Everything will be fine.

    Nothing fits

Hi Donna, I was banded June 10th and I've been experiencing the same as you with clothes. The other day in fact I had to alter the straps on my bras bc they are lose now and I really don't want to spend money until I'm much smaller. My husband keeps offering to buy me new clothes and I should be happy about that but I much rather wait. For now my sewing machine is great to have Good luck with your journey

    ? how life is after

I'm new at this and it was also scary for me. It still is because everyday it's something new but trust me you learn fast. The first couple of days when I was in pain ( I didn't take any pain medication) I kept asking myself " what did I do to myself" but now that its been around 3 weeks I'm glad I did it. To be honest I rather go through learning how to live with this new tool inside of me than suffering with health issues over my weight. I could not do it on my own! What pushed me to finally do it? My mother had a heart attack and about one year later she suffered a cardiac arrest. She had developed heart disease. My chances were up there to follow in her footsteps. Of course I don't know what my future will be like now that I have the lapband but then again I'm not giving up. Good luck to you!

    Gas & pain

I was banded 3 weeks ago. Gas pain was terrible the first night and second day. But from the minute I got home same day as surgery I walked around my block twice. And again the next day. Walking does help get rid of the gas. Also massaging the areas where you hurt. For me the gas pain was like a sharp pain on my left side. I've been using the treadmill since the 4th day of my surgery this has helped me tremendously.

    Concerned and Confused

Thank you all for your input. I think that it may be just that I'm drinking liquids too fast. Today I had mahi mahi and as soon as I felt comfortable I stopped. Didn't drink anything until much after eating and I'm feeling better. Who ever thinks that we took the easy way out by having weight loss surgery is sooooo wrong. It takes discipline and dedication but definitely a learning experience. <3

    Concerned and Confused

I would only get heartburn after a big meal or late at night. Nothing that required meds. Do you think it may be slippage? I'm feel disappointed already. I'll call my Doctor on Monday. Thanks
  13. I've been reading some of the threads and I'm concerned and confused. I had my surgery 3 weeks ago and I've been following my diet just as I was told. But I have noticed that I tend to forget to drink my liquids slowly. I'm afraid I'm might of done something wrong because I feel heartburn. It doesn't feel too bad and it does go away after a while. After reading about slippage I'm afraid that might of happened. My first filling is set for June 18, that's when I'm planning to tell my doctor about my concerns. Has anyone experience this without it being slippage?
  14. I'm glad to hear you felt very lil pain and hope it stays away for you. Good luck with your new You! ???ƒ
  15. I was banded June 8th, Dr. Told me can only walk until one moth post surgery. It's only a few days away but I can't wait to start at least jogging. Did you feel any pain whatsoever?
