  1. I am 13 months out from gastric sleeve. Just the past week I’ve developed pain in my upper left chest after eating or drinking. The same feeling I had immediately AFTER gastric sleeve - waiting for gas to leave my body. Anyone else have this issue a year after? I’m trying to figure out what I’ve eaten -maybe it’s coffee?
  2. I had surgery October 21, I’ve lost right at 52 lbs. I started at 207. It is a struggle. I’m eating more. Takes me more to feel full. I’m not sure if it’s in my head or not. I need to get back on track NOW!!! Today has been a bad day - tomorrow I am focusing on a day of liquid / pre-op - for tomorrow and Friday. If I didn’t lose another pound I’m happy - but I would like to lose another 10 lbs. I need encouragement!!
  3. I would like to hear from people regarding doctors in the area where I am. Just looking for references!!! I am attending a meeting next week at PeaceHealth SW, but know there are other Drs and hospitals in and around the area. Looking for the best, safest, etc. Can someone help me?
  4. Has anyone had banding done at this hospital? Am attending a class in 2 weeks, how do know if a good hospital and Doctors?
  5. How do you view someone's profile? See their ticker? All that stuff? Maybe I just cannot do that on the iPad, not sure. Thanks for any help!

    Afraid of failure!

I am not sure why I get food stuck. At one time I was told I had a small hiatal hernia. Food will get stick, feels like I am chocking. Will do Lamaze type breathing and it will pass, or sometimes have to throw up. Before it passes I will start sliming. I am assuming that is what it is. My mouth keeps producing saliva and no where for it to go. What you said about feeling satisfied without gorging! That is what I need! Want! I am not worried about working hard to do this, have done it several times with other diets. I just need some help!

    Afraid of failure!

Hi everyone! I just turned 60 and I have been reading about the Lapband for a couple of years. But at the point that I am REALLY getting serious about it. I will be self-pay, which scares me, cuz I worry about failure. I have done Weight Watchers, kept it off for a while and it crept back on. Did Medifast, it crept back on. You see the pattern? I worry about failure. I am not concerned about getting food stuck or sliming, cuz I do that now. And, I know how to deal with that. I know my life will change drastically with the 'band'. Eating changes. I want to be me of those people that Eat to Live, not Live to Eat. I want to like myself again. Sometimes I wonder how my husband can love me. He is so supportive tho, regardless of what I want to do. I want to know what makes this different for YOU, rather than other things you have done? I think that is my big question for anyone out there reading this. I am in SW Washington state. Thanks everyone!

    Why the Lapband?

If Im not successful with weight watchers, lost and gained with Medifast, what's makes me think I can be successful with the lapband? Convince me! I want to not be hungry, not be a grazer, I want to eat, feel full, and lose weight. I am not afraid to work for something I want, but I need help to achieve it.
  9. I apologize for my typing and spelling. It is this ipad! Yikes! I need to proof read I guess. I am wondering what your other doctors opinions are of you receiving the lapband.
  10. I wondered what the response has been from your 'other' Drs.,when they Lund out you had often the lapband? I am sill in the 'contemplating' stage.
