  1. I am now in the same boat. I have been working out like 6 days a week and for almost 2 hours on those days doing half elliptical and half circuit/strength and I added C25K this week in addition to that. I just weighed after hiding the scale for a week only to find I gained a pound!!! I know my clothes fit better it's just discouraging because I'm working so hard! I need to find a way to calculate how many calories to eat and burn to lose. I think I'm burning to much and not eating enough. Who knows. End rant
  2. Count me in!! My goal is to continue the couch to 5K I started on Monday and complete each day. Elliptical - I'm doing 55 minutes 5-6 days/week I want to increase the intensity level to 3 by the end of this month. Last month went from 30 minutes up to 55. Circuit/strength- I'm doing 45-60 5-6 days/week I want to organize my days according to muscle groups and increase the weight amounts a little. Yesterday I woke up sick but still did 30 minutes on the elliptical.
  3. I started couch to 5k on Monday in addition to my regular stuff. So today will be day 2 of week 1. Let me say I have never ever been a runner not once. I put on my bucket list to run one 5k and my sister in law decided it would be Run or Dye on June 7th this year lol... So I figured I better get moving I have 9 weeks to be ready. The moral of the story is I finished day 1 the whole thing and was able to do it all!!! I was so proud of myself. I don't know how I will do through the rest of the program but it's a good start!! Thank you for being such an inspiration to me!!!!!
  4. I agree Healthynewme it also makes me crazy. But I would never say a word because it's their choice. I agree with Leepers to sometimes I wonder how people live on such few calories to. Either way it's not my business or choice so unless someone asks I don't offer. I am far from perfect myself!
  5. I'm at 55 minutes on the elliptical which exceeded my march goal of 50. I'm lifting 40-60 minutes 4-6 days every week. I can't believe I'm even able to do any of this!!!!
  6. 55 minutes on the elliptical today and 30 minutes lifting.
  7. Definitely my large water bottle, my blender, my food scale, my fitness pal
  8. I'm up to 51 minutes on the elliptical and my target was to increase by 5 minutes/week from 30 minutes at the beginning of march. I am 6 minutes ahead of schedule!!! I worked out 6 days this week and 5 days the last 2 weeks.
  9. I order a chai tea nonfat which is with skim milk. But they have "skinny" drinks which can be any drink with sugar free syrup. I hope this helps.
  10. Wow! Congrats! That's great news! I was wondering how you have been. I can't offer any advice here but I wish you and your new little one the best!!!!!
  11. Happy Bandiversary! You look great!!!!!
  12. I wish you the best Donna. You have certainly had a rough road. I hope your health greatly improved after it's removed. Please let us know how you are!!!!
  13. I have been working out in my basement since surgery. I have a gym membership that I have had 10 yrs but once I got sick and gained a ton of weight I haven't been there in at least 4 yrs. well I went back today!!! I'm so proud of myself and I got in 47 minutes on the elliptical and lifted after. Baby steps lol
  14. Personally I would rest and let my body heal up. That last pound will come girl. Give yourself a tiny break.
  15. Got up to 42 minutes on the elliptical today, 30 minutes lifting weights, and carrying my 25 lb nephew around for an hour. When I started this journey I could do 3 minutes on the elliptical and thought I would die! Everyone has their own thing. Their own exercise that works best for them and I believe in our own ways we are all killing it!!!! YAY US LOL
  16. You look amazing!!!!! Thank you for sharing you are such an inspiration!!
  17. Girl you look amazing!!! Congrats on your fantastic success!
  18. Hello I to have lupus, thyroid, and now addisons from 6 years of taking daily prednisone. I had the Lapband done because I could have it removed if there was a problem. Just personal preference. I was on 10mg daily at the time of my surgery and they gave me a few IV stress doses during the surgery and for the following 24hrs. Please feel free to pm me with any questions. I am also a nurse.
  19. Got in a 45 minute walk and my hubby actually came to so that was nice! It was to beautiful today to stay inside and do the elliptical.
  20. I have had days over 100 grams in a day. But that's having a shake for either breakfast or lunch and gluten free oatmeal with added protein powder. Those are both 30 grams each then dinner is either organic chicken or ground turkey and veggies so there's 30 more. Sometimes you can get creative and find ways to add the powder to something you like to eat. It keeps me satisfied longer the more protein I have.
  21. I agree with I would have done it in the beginning. I have to go get a tape measure for those times when the scale doesn't move. But WAY TO GO BANDISTA!!!! Those are some pretty awesome losses and you can definitely see it in your pics!!!! Keep the great work!!!!
  22. 38 minutes on the elliptical and 35 minutes lifting today. Also paint for a bit and now gonna stain all the new moulding for my sons room.
  23. Way to go!!!! Congrats that's such a huge accomplishment !!!!!!
  24. Bandista I had no idea we started from the same place....Prednisone! I gained 60lbs in like 4 months in 2010 and then it kept snowballing from there. I to could not get it off no matter how hard I tried. I don't know why you had to take it but I'm glad we are on this journey to health together.
