  7. I painted for 2 hours Sunday and 2 hrs on Monday Tuesday I did elliptical 33 minutes and lifted for 20 minutes Today I increased elliptical to 34 minutes and lifted for 30 minutes. On target so far!!!!!! Having lupus and taking tons of prednisone won't stop me anymore I'm fighting back!!!!
  8. My March goal is going to be: Increase elliptical time by 5 minutes a week. I'm at 30 min/day now Workout 4-5 days/week for at least 50 minutes.
  9. I have heard selenium helps but that would be another pill. Also stay away from things like soy and broccoli they are bad for thyroid.
  10. I have Hashimoto's which is under active as well. I've had it for 7 yrs. I am wondering if you know what your TSH is??? The reason I ask is because I found that lower mine is closest to 1 the better I feel. I'm on 125mcg of synthroid. I was gaining weight for over a year before they diagnosed me. That was with going to the gym 5-6 days a week for 1-2hrs each time. I wish you the best it's not easy and having thyroid makes it harder.
  11. You look great! Congrats on the huge loss!!
  12. Hello I have lupus and addisons and I got the band on July 1, 2013. The first 3 weeks post op were bad for me but after that it has been smooth sailing. I actually haven't been in the hospital one time for a flare since my surgery. I was able to stop some of my meds as well. I gained all of my weight in 2009 from dreaded prednisone which I will have to take forever. I'm down over 50lbs and can even exercise a little which I couldn't do at all for 3 years. Best of luck to you I'm sure you will feel better to!!
  13. I also use Nixon shampoo and conditioner faithfully year round.
  14. This week so far: 3 days weight training and 4 miles on the elliptical.
  15. I just had a fill today and she always has me do 2 days of protein shakes and clears and then 2 days of mushies like oatmeal with protein powder and yogurt and soups.
  16. Last week I did 7 miles walking and 2 days of weight training

  20. I actually just posted on my profile about this topic. I got into my old size 12 gap jeans today. Now I have not lost anymore weight recently but I felt like I had in inches. I was right and couldn't be happier. I haven't measured myself at all but I was in a size 20 when I started this journey on July 1, 2013. I want to thank Carolina Girl for always saying that just because the scale isn't moving doesn't mean we are not losing inches. You are so right!!!!
  21. I would love to join. Just about finished with a 10 day liver detox and will be able to exercise again this week My goal is walking 48 miles this month. Last month I did around 40. Also weight training 2-3 days a week Good luck everyone!!
  22. You look great! You can definitely see a big difference!! Good for you keep it up girl!
  23. I'm just curious what your rheumatologist said or suggested. I also have lupus and I have Hashimoto's as well. I am trying to find others with lupus to swap stories with.
