Big Day!

Of at I had my consult with my amazing surgeon, meeting with my nutritionist, meeting with pre and post op RN, meeting with the bariatric coordinator, my first support group and my first nutrition class!! From 2pm-7pm of doctors and specialists!! It was awesome!!!!

However my surgeon suggested GB instead of the Sleeve I've been so focused on. I am still doing the sleeve though. :)

  • My doc said it's cause I seem to have issues with sugar.. I told him I have sugar about three times a week an he said that's excessive. Puzzled I was like "whatever dude" and said I wanted the sleeve.

I wonder what criteria the surgeons use for their suggestions of which procedure? Anyone know?

I'm just curious what your rheumatologist said or suggested. I also have lupus and I have Hashimoto's as well. I am trying to find others with lupus to swap stories with.
