Good morning, I must have gotten hot in the middle of the night and turned my thermostat way down!!! It is freezing in here!!!! Can't blame anyone else!!! I set it to under 60!!! Busy day running a bunch of errands and appointments. Hope to get my oil changed, then tonight I have another stupid sleep study! Glad to see you posting Tracy!!! Jane

How Terrible for all you Texans!!! Househuntress you are from the Houston area too aren't you? We had 6 inches of water this am and two people died in it. Terrible, Terrible. I went to my mom and dads for dinner and pb'd on broccoli big time!!! Why can't I pb on ice cream or candy or something sweet? NO it has to be broccoli! Off to get some stuff accomplished here. Jane

I am so glad everyone is accounted for!! Not much going on here. I wish I could do some of my errands on Sunday! I don't have anything scheduled for tomorrow, other than going to my parents for dinner and seeing my niece!! Monday is a day of appointments and must dos. I also have a sleep study Monday night, you know this iron thing is really getting me down!! I think no matter what I do I am going to have some discomfort, either in the tummy or the pocketbook!!! This time next week 1/4 of the violets are going to meet up in Kansas City!!! Any other takers? Judy, Kat, anybody close????? I need to hop on the treadmill, then I am going to watch SNL, I hear Tina Fey might come back and play Sarah Palin, and that Barack Obama is actually coming in person to do the show! Could be a hoot! Saturday is generally a busy day, and taking off for a few hours today means I have to work late tonight. Oh well, I don't mind. Oh Terri, I am soo sorry to hear that. That is hanging over your head. I hope the storm all of a sudden slows down speed and is just a rain shower?!!!! Texas girls are in my thoughts and prayers!!!! My mom used to wash my mouth out with soap, she didn't scrape our teeth she would just rub the soap all over our tongues! Well here comes a long day. I am up and drinking my coffee. I have a slow day at work today, but long. I think I will get my roots done. To think that Saturday when I went to that church picnic, I brought my drivers license just in case they carded me if I bought a beer. I didn't get a beer, but thought just in case............... Today is the "move that bus" day, my dad said he is going to the reveal, but I think he will get there and see how crowded it is and leave. If he can find a place to sit he will be fine. I tried posting last night before bed, but I lost my post, so I went to bed. Terry special hugs to you and all you are going through, you really don't need anything extra on your plate right now!! Except maybe m&m's? Okay I didn't watch the first half hour or so of bb, but my mom filled me in! Oh my gosh!!! My favorite movie is a tear jerker, so Beaches really has great sentimental value and is a good tear jerker. But my all time favorite tear jerker is "My Life" by Micheal Keaton. Oh my gosh!!! Talk about sappy, sappy, sappy!! I also love Dirty Dancing and Pretty Woman. Richard Gere looks so handsome in Pretty Woman, and so does Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing!!! I like the white dinner jacket version of the two men. I like em clean cut. I am supposed to be out running errands, but had a bank problem at Bank of America that I had to run home to do some things. I am transfering my money out! They made a major mistake and won't do anything about it except say I am Sorry! Not good enough for me!! I want them to fix it back to the way it was, they won't so I won't stay. Wow, just got back from the Extreme Home Makeover house they are doing!!! Where this house is located is in a little suburb that has houses that were probably built in the 40s or 50's and are VERY close together. You would not believe all the stuff that is there! There are so many workers!!!! Oh my gosh. I wish I had brought my camera, but then again..... My dad and I sat out there on the lawn across the street for two hours just watching them work. Really neat!!!! I hope tomorrow I have a bit of time to pop over there and see the progress. I guess they are used to be under the gun, but the family is supposed to come back for the reveal Wed. at 1:00. They have a bunch of work to do before then. Jane

I am off for a lunch date, then my Dad and I are going over to the Extreme Makeover house in my town. I was sort of bummed by Tracy and Susie email about waking up to storms, cause that means they are about 5 hours from here!!!! Hope we can see the house before the rain comes!!!! Music Man was great!! This is a summer theatre, so this was the last one. They announced today that next summers line up is "Little Shop of Horrors", "The Drowsy Chaperone", and "Guys and Dolls". Sounds like a good line up. I saw The Drowsy Chaperone last year and it wasn't great, but not bad. Can't wait though. Now in November our other tickets start up with "The Color Purple". Susie, not Catholic, just always go to Charlies church picnic. Well off to find something to eat. I am hungry!! But, I have had NO SWEETS since August 31! I am allowing myself three days of sweets this month. Don't know when that will be though. TracyK did I thank you for sending back the book? I can't remember so thank you again!!!!!!!!!! Jane

Showered just need to dry my hair and put on my makeup, oh and get dressed. Ready for church, lunch, and a show! Judy I am so glad your party went well. I was outside playing bingo last night and a few drops of rain started, but then stopped, and I thought of you with hopes that drops did not fall in your direction!! You have a beautiful backyard, of course they loved it!!!!!!!!!!!! I was going to drop by and pretend to be with choir just to enjoy it!!! Just ran home and then off in 1/2 hour to the church picnic. Got a letter in the mail from my fill Dr. that said they canceled my appointment the end of the month. This is soooooo aggravating!!! He only does it 2 hours month on the fourth friday and I can't do it the fourth Friday in October. I am sooo mad!!!!! Good thing it is a catholic church I am going to so I can have a beer!! Okay no more venting, I am off to freshen up and change my clothes!! Have a good night!!!

Laura, that is a horrible situation with your family!! Kudos to you for dealing with it in a mature and open eyed way. You seem to be the only one right now doing that. Thanks for the info Laura!!! Watching Stand up 2 Cancer, it really touches your heart. Wondering why I had such a mild form of Ovariian cancer, when it usually kills people. I feel very lucky and blessed. Hopefully Juan will replace Ma...... At least when bb ends survivor starts this time. I love survivor!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!! I wonder where Tracyks is also, I emailed her with a question and I didn't get a reply, hope everything is okay!! I hope she is just super busy making her kitchen pretty!!!!
