  1. Thank you Arc. I have a nurse coming today so I am going to ask her about the capsule. Hopefully everyday will be better. Right now I am just very sore and have such a headache. No gas pain though. I had it in the hospital and the walking really helped.
  2. Thank you Ash. I am crying now but I know you are so right. I don't want to fail. I feel like such a wimp because I did not have to do a pre op diet yet I am already sick of the shakes. Those of you that did a one or two week pre op are my Heros. My husband just gave me the liquid Tylenol. He said the same thing you did. I also take another pill at night that is a capsule form. I had to open it and put it in my shake. I can't believe we can't swallow a capsule. Is that forever too? Is it normal to be thinking about food too? Thanks so much for letting me vent. I so appreciate your comments. Donna
  3. Hi everyone. I had surgery yesterday and came home today. I am very sore and tired and already sick of protein shakes. Can someone please tell me it's gonna get better? I know it has to but I just need to hear from others. I hate having to get up to go the bathroom. The pain is so bad. I'm afraid I won't get in enough protein because I am sick of the shakes. Feeling depressed and questioning if I have done the right thing. Can you please share your stories? I also am fighting the pain medal because I hate the taste of that too. Thanks.for listening. Donna.
  4. I was banded July 1. Still in hospital as my dr requires that all bariatric patients stay over. Pain is definitely manageable. Hiccups hurt! Walking helps with the gas incredibly. I think mine is gone for now. Very thirsty. Nothing to eat or drink except for those little sponge pops in ice. Can only sleep on back but hopefully once I get home it will be different. So glad the surgery is done and I look forward to this next chapter! Good luck to all of getting banded today and this month. ???Š
  5. Surgery for me too. Very nervous but excited about seeing the old me again.
  6. I am tomorrow! 730 am. Would love your prayers. Thanks and good luck to all getting banded in July. Donna.
  7. Congrats! You look beautiful! You should be so proud of what you have accomplished! Monday is banding day for me!!
  8. Well this time I made it as far as getting into the gown, blood pressure taken and was waiting for the IV then the nurse came over to say how sorry she was but that the doctor had someone coming in by ambulance for emergency surgery. So with that being said, my surgery is now July 1st and I am going to have a nice dinner!!! Yikes.
  9. I will. I will be staying over in the hospital so I will let everyone know. Good luck to you!
  10. Good luck! I too am getting banded today. Surgery was originally moved from 8am to noon and then moved to 3. Now I have to be there at 4. The waiting is killing me not to mention I am thirsty and hungry!
  11. I will be banded tomorrow at noon. Very nervous but exciting to start this new and heathy chapter. If you could keep me in your prayers tonight I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you to all who contribute to this site. Your support is what gets me through this. Thanks so much. Donna
  12. I am getting banded on the 24th too. Good luck! I am nervous and excited too.
  13. I am scheduled for band surgery on Monday and i also hope to eventually lose 100 pounds. I know it will take longer than with bypass but I am willing and ready to work for it. Good luck with your decision. Keep us posted.
  14. You look beautiful! Congrats! I get banded on Monday. Excited and nervous.
  15. I also get banded on the 25th. No pre op diet required. I should have asked why but I think I was too happy. In a way though, I would have probably lost a few pounds and not quitting everything cold turkey.
  16. Congrats! You look beautiful! I get banded on June 24!
  17. Hi Wendy - June 23th for me. I have waited almost two years from the start of the seminar! Insurance denied me and then I appealed and now I finally have date! Stay in touch!!
  18. I am scheduled for surgery on June 23rd and just found out my doctor does not require a pre op diet. I will have a post op one though and don't start solids until the 4th week after surgery. Yikes! I guess every doctor is different. Good luck to you. ???Š Donna
  19. Wow! You look great! What an accomplishment!
  20. Congratulations! You look beautiful in both pictures! I hope to be banded in the next few months!
  21. Don't give up just yet. My insurance denied me but my dr appealed it and I hope to have surgery soon. It will all work out. Don't worry!!
  22. Thank you Jackie. I meet with the surgeon on the 23rd of this month. I will make sure he talks with my oncologist too. Donna
  23. I am not banded yet. Hopefully in the next few months. I am currently starting my third year of taking Tamoxifan for breast cancer I had in 2010. My oncologist said I would need to stop taking the mess 2 weeks before the surgery. Anyone else go thru this?
