Yes, either Atkins or Premier will have the lowest. Also if you get it from smoothie Factory, my favority is the Gladiator, 45g with very little carbs depending upon a fruit you choose.

Just your preference. When losing I like the Atkins with 2 g carbs or Premier with 5 g. In maintenance I can stand a little more 10-12 g. No more than that for me. Good luck!

It doesn't matter if you are fat girl or skinny girl, SOME guys are just a**holes no matter what. Just remember it's their issue and not yours. I agree with you that it's best for you to work on you right now and when you least expect it, BAM! There's Mr. Right! Good luck and keep us posted because your doing awesome! Good luck :-)

It is such a wonderful thing to have your loved ones be so supportive. My entire family is very supportive. My husband is one of those healthy fit people ( which i hope to be soon) and tells me all he wants is for me to be happy. He says he doesn't care what package I come in because after 25 years of marriage, 4 kids and two grand kids he falls more in love with me everyday.

...I am a little over a month out from surgery. I joined this site a couple of weeks prior to my surgery. I've seen lots of positive; I've seen lots of negative. I'd be the first one to admit that when typing a text, an email, or a post on a site such as this...miscommunication happens. However, words are very powerful - words need to be chosen carefully especially when you don't even truly know a person..I was slammed a couple of weeks ago about regret...I am still here. I am NOT going anywhere...I am more determined than everto share my story...whether you are in the majority here who love their sleeve, or you are in the minority who regret their sleeve - you are important, your journey is yours, and this should be a place where you should be able to feel comfortable....but I just read a very mean reply to someone's post...it was totally uncalled for...it was simply rude....cold, callous, in my personal opinion. I am MAD!
I strongly feel that many on this site need to ask themselves after reading a post...can I say anything supportive to this person? If your answer is no, or you have so much disagreement with the poster's thoughts/questions ... that you just want to beat someone down with your words...don't post a reply to the person, period.
I think most would agree we are here for support, to gain knowledge, to gain confidence in our journey, to hear from kindred spirits in this journey...this should be a safe place to ask questions, to express our thoughts, to share stories...so, please, please from the bottom of my heart...I am asking people to remember what I tell middle school kids every day ..."Manners matter! If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!"
    ...can I get an Amen???

There are as many answers to this question as there are people on this forum. I told everybody. And I have no regrets. There was no way I could have kept it to myself. Everyday (even now, 11 months post op) people's first question is "how did you do it?" Like there is some secret bean I bought at the health food store. It's everyone's favorite question. Total strangers ask it as soon as they figure out I've lost weight. A friggin car salesman asked me the other day after taking my license so I could do a test drive. He just said "my you've lost a pound or 2...how did you do it?" They are going to ask this question alot. I wasn't prepared to sidestep it, so I answer that I had gastric surgery and now I eat right and exercise everyday. I need to get business cards made saying this cause I'm tired of repeating it.
I'm lucky that I've surrounded myself with the kind of people that none of my friends or family have given me the least amount of grief over it. I expected to hear some ignorant remarks from my coworkers but I haven't heard a word. Now what they say behind my back I don't know or care. I think this is one area where men have it better than women. Men do not try to talk each other out of these kinds of things....generally speaking. Or maybe it's just that I carry myself like a person that sends out a message that I'm going to do what I'm going to do, and I don't give a flip what anyone thinks about it.
Either way, I totally get why people don't tell. But I don't think my life would have been any easier if I had kept it a secret. I'd still be getting the weight loss questions daily, plus I'd have the stress of always giving an answer to that question that I'm not entirely comfortable giving.
But....to each his own...or her own. We all must do what we must. In the end it's about your life, your health, your sense of happiness....and nothing else.

I was wondering why a lot of people want to keep there surgery a secret? I'm just starting my journey and am still in the testing phase. I thought about telling everyone and their grandmother about my surgery but, I see people wanting to keep it secret. I was hoping some of you could share with me why because I want to make an informed decision and maybe I haven't considered the down side of it.Looking to be Enlightened. Thanks

I can understand your concern but even as fat individuals we come into contact with fake people. They smile in your face and stab you in the back. For me personally I just do whats best for me. People always say I'm a diva and I'm okay with that. If people want to take a fat girl being confident in herself as diva I can live with that because who I am and what I choose to feel about myself is upto me. I want to have this surgery for my health. I'm blessed that my circle of friends and family love me and support no matter what my body shape. So dont worry about other people because you will see when all is said and done the real ones will be there no matter what. Good luck and stay fabulous and always be true to you ; )
