  1. I have PCOS and taking metformin as well. Seeing a fertility specialist and hoping we can have one on our own here soon.
  2. Not everyone who has complications is negative. I just had my band removed and I don't negatively impact any upcoming banders. I had my success but then had complications which I knew was a possibility. To the person who said its mostly the banders fault, I take that offensive. I did everything right with my band and still got to this point. So I guess I'm just part of the 5% or that's not correct. But I wish you all the luck with your band!
  3. Did anyone's bicep of the arm they had the iv in become sore? Near my shoulder of the arm they pumped fluids through is so sore...
  4. Do we usually weigh more than usual after surgery due to all the fluids and trama to the body? Thanks.
  5. All went well., staying overnight for monitoring.
  6. My remov surgery is today. I'm nervous and praying its a simple removal with no other problems found.
  7. I'm in the same position. Had mine for 5 years and I've literally been through hell with it the last 2. I want mine out cause I can't take the risk of Going through what I have been through again
  8. Mine is coming out Friday for about the same reasons. They said it was moving down my stomach. I'm scared!
  9. I just don't wnt people thinking I failed cause this is not what I wanted or expected with the band... But another bump in me losing weight.
  10. It's moving down my stomach causing me to throw up and have acid reflux terribly.... So they need to take it out because it going down my stomach can cause damage.
  11. I don't think you should necessarily look for cheap, you want this done right.
  12. You seem to have alot of regrets about getting it? It is lifestyle change. I've had mine a while and it has ended up failing me and causing me not to eat.. Will have it removed on Friday.
  13. Not sure why but I'm much more nervous to get this band removed than I was getting it placed. I guess it's the unknown of them finding infection or a problem where it messed up my stomach.. But my anxiety level for it is high. I don't like not knowing whether ill wake up with a drainage tube or not.. Doc doesn't think so but says he won't know til he sees it. God I'm praying for an easier surgery and a cease in the pain! I wanna be able to eat the right food and not be sick.
  14. Kallets.. Not to be negative but that's how my problems started. I would randomly get sick and I have NO fluid in my band. I have been to the ER numerous times because nothing would stay down and they always said I was okay. I am getting my band removed Friday cause its moving down my stomach. So make sure you see your lap band doctor to check...
  15. I just kept saying to myself there is a surgical reason they had me do this diet and I never cheated on the diet cause I never knew if it would mess something up or make surgery harder.
  16. I'm with the group, the band is a complete life change. I have had mine for 5 years and it has failed me. I have to have it removed because it is moving down my stomach. I am scared to death to wonder after its gone if ill be okay. My high blood pressure and pre diabetes is still a problem For me... But I can't be scared. I have to take this into my own hands now and do what I gotta do.
  17. I am in the pre op stage again as my lap band is needing to be removed because it is moving down my stomach. I'm getting it removed with a different doctor in a different state and man are things different.... My first surgery I had to do diet for 2 weeks and this one they only said 2 days prior... Does that sound right? I'm super nervous again!
