Do we usually weigh more than usual after surgery due to all the fluids and trama to the body? Thanks.

I did. I sometimes wonder if I'm normal though!! LOL

In all reality, I really do think its often the case due to the IV's you receive during surgery.

The day after surgery I had gained 5 lb's! It was gone in the next 2 days...

I had my surgery Friday morning and I weighed myself this morning and I had gained 5 lbs as well. I was a little shocked but I figured it was from the surgery.

Yes you may gain weight initially from surgery, but it is temporary. Don't fret. Consider waiting a couple weeks if you can to weigh in, and enjoy!

I do after every surgery. When I had surgery in August (not band related) I weighed 7 pounds more when I got home from the hospital. I almost had a heart attack lol.

But, within a week after, the 7 pounds were gone again and took 2 more with them.
