  1. I held a washclothe over my stomach for the first few days because i was nervous about pain from the water hitting it... but you'll feel so much better!
  2. go poop! you'll be fine.. just need to empty your tummy haha
  3. Very true. I haven't felt it yet since i haven't even had a fill... so it was a good/bad feeling. haha
  4. and it was NOT fun. Hard boiled eggs and I do not get along anymore. I do have to say it hurt very badly and I now have a new found respect for all you "senior" bandsters. Everytime I read of people having this before I was always like " i've never had that!! i'm lucky! " Just thought i'd share. Happy Saturday everyone!
  5. It's very sad.. My best friends father, and aunt both had bypass. They both now weigh MORE than they did before surgery.. Everyone thinks any kind of WLS is an easy way out, and it's not by any means.
  6. I saw this post going around the other day, but now cannot find it. I'm going to see my allergist tomorrow, and will be getting an updated medical bracelet. What is the proper term I should use for my lap band surgery? Thanks everyone!
  7. Honestly, I look at this everyday and it helps me. goodluck girly, don't give up! http://tinypic.com/r/kbtwsj/6
  8. the pain is terrible, i'd recommend going to the ER if you have insurance... they'll be able to figure out right away what it is... I just had to call 911 for my grandmother a few weeks ago for a severe gallbladder attack.. don't take it lightly and don't get on that cruise until you figure it out!!
  9. I was told before my surgery, that if i had a gallebladder it would need to come out either before or during my banding. I had mine removed years ago, so this didn't apply to me.. Though, I think I remember him saying people usually have issues with it, thats why they just remove it.
  10. yes! I usually just take left over for my lunch at work, but find myself eating the same thing 3 or 4 days in a row because of this issue!
  11. I had to wait almost 7 months.. (1 for paper work and 6 months nut. suppervision)
  12. you look AMAZING!! be proud of all the hard work you have done! and let that previous confidence SHINE!!
  13. i'm only a few weeks post-op so i'm still at about 600-850 cals a day
  14. thats such a great idea! I wear one daily for my laytex allergie.. look like it's time to update!
  15. i all depends on your surgen.. they all have diffrent guidelines they follow.
  16. i burp like a drunken sailor now... all the time!! haha
  17. How often do you allow your selves to have any of the above?
  18. GNC Lean Shakes make some that come pre bottled, they're really good for when you go back to work or on the go. The Strawberries and Cream tastes just like a strawberry milk you'd buy from the store.. and the vanilla bean is very yummy too.
  19. Honestly, I don't even remember... it was just glorious to have texture, and flavor after two weeks of fluids! haha
  20. my first mushie meal was probably the best tasting thing i had ever had in my life. hahah enjoy it!!
  21. I know the feeling... I live with/care for my grandmother. I make her atleast 2 meals a day, and usually have to make something completly diffrent for myself since i'm still in my mushie stage. It's hard, but I know it will be worth it... A dear friend of mine had WLS last year, and her statement all the time when having to cook/see what her family eats was "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels". I just have to remind myself, i'm doing this to get HEALTHY and I will NOT let food get in the way of that anymore. I wish you much luck on your journey!
  22. i'm a little over two weeks post op.... i didn't notice my breath, but found i was brushing more often because my teeth felt gross.... makes me wonder who i offended with my stinky breath!! haha
