  1. Do they not have a chewable one you can take, I can barely swallow those suckers unbanded so I am getting used to the chewable one now

  3. I agree B52 ,she has the same surgeon as I will have and he tells me no way so I will follow his instructions, everyone's aftercare plan is very different and I think people should do what they are comfortable doing
  4. My doctor says no way, I have a banded friend who tells me " well you will only do it once" she was in so much pain she never drank another carbonated beverage

  9. Every time I think of my surgery I get very nervous, totally normal to be nervous before an operation , you will be fine good luck !

I agree Mis73 , I am a self pay in Canada ,I am not required to do any seminars or info sessions other then an online one ( online as my Doctor is on the other side of the country) it does not mean I have not been researching and reading the information books provided to me but some of the posts I read its like people just run out and get banded thinking its a cure all and do some major damage because they have not informed themselves

IMHO , people are looking for a "quick" fix and the sleeve and bypass may represent this to them, rapid weight loss no maintenance ect, I think the doctors push those surgeries as well as it requires nothing more of them after surgery , to each their own and its a VERY personal choice ,but for me the band is the only option

  15. Where do you all get the biotin ? Is it chewable?
  16. I guess it depends on the doctor my doctor says zero carbonation so that's what I will do, as I am seeing in the boards all the doctors seems to have their own protocol .
  17. From what I have been told carbonation can also cause the upper pouch to dilate
  18. That's the reason I am going off now , I am to fearful of doing anything to damage myself or the band , I'm 61 days from surgery and want to be diet Pepsi free long before I have to be

Funny thing is I was off of the pop for a long time drinking a ton of water working out like crazy dropped 40 pounds then got bronchitis stopped going to the gym and never restarted stopped the water an back on the diet Pepsi ugh , I can not weight to be banded , I know how to eat an take weight off , I've done it a million times lol I just need help. Hopefully the band will help
  20. I am a diet Pepsi junky , it's better then it used to be but I am now only two months away from surgery and this is my last case I will be drinking , I've done it before bit this time it's goodbye so sad , lol wish me luck!
  21. No problem , I hope it helps thinning hair is no fun , my hair falls out from stress so I know how awful it can be
