MK1986. I have my robe, slippers, gasX, CPAP machine, IPad,hubby and something comfortable to wear home.

I have to be at the hospital Monday for 7:30. Things just got really real for me. So nervous I could throw up!

Caspinlli712, I am scheduled for surgery Monday as well and I am also worried and excited at the same time but worried. I am so glad to see that it is normal because I was beginning to think twice about this. I know I need this more than anything. How are you doing on your pre-op diet?

2 weeks, high protein/low carb still on it. I have surgery on Monday...

I think you will be fine sticking with the diet until Tuesday, you've already lost 25lbs and that is great!

I have less than a week before surgery and now I am so nervous. On the verge of crying. I hate reading negative stories and it scares me like crazy. I know I need to do this but the what if's are driving me crazy. What should I do? I meet with my surgeon tomorrow for my pre-op appointment. Wish me luck.

I am somewhat the same $750 deductible then they pay 100% Good luck I have less than a week and it will be done!

If you're employed. How long are you taking off OR how long did you take off work? I have two weeks of vacation available but I also have the option of using short term disability if needed. Opinions welcome!

Bryantcj my surgery is March 11th Prettylittleheart thank you so much you sound like I feel. I'm just so worried about complications. I know I'm going through with it and I'm really really excited but I can't picture myself slim I've been overweight for so long. I've been praying day and night and will continue to do so Thanks everyone!

There is a lady that calls herself Texas89 on here, she had highmark and her BMI was not 50, she said she won her appeal you should try and contact her. I also have Highmark, my BMI is over 50. I am waiting to hear back from them. How long did it take you to get a response? Good luck

How far post-op are you? Make sure there is no yellow or green drainage and that it does not smell. It could be a sign of infection. If so please call your doctor or go to the ER. Good Luck

I have been going back and forth about WLS for 5 years and I finally decided to go ahead with everything. I have had all tests and medical appointments and my information was submitted on February 8th, well fast forward two weeks and I still have no answer. I called the insurance company on Monday to discover they had no record of receiving the information, so I got in contact with my coordinator and information was finally received on the 18th so now I start to wait again. I feel drained, its sucking all the life out of me waiting for an answer. I want to get prepared for WLS but I can't get excited until I hear that I am APPROVED. I'm praying that everything goes smoothly from here on out. I have a surgery date and I 'm ready to tell them when I'll be taking off work. Come one Highmark BCBS!!! Okay DONE VENTING...

Luckily mine is pretty good she came in on her off day to re-fax it today because I was so upset and I am grateful for that!
