  2. I had my first fill yesterday using the fluor option. It was pretty neat to watch the barium fluid go through the only thing is I have no clue how much they put in my band they estimated about 4cc's... Good Luck with your second fill mine will be on 4/30!!

  9. Oh yes they really sow that thing to your abdominal wall and it will be sore for a few days! The recliner and an ice pack where my best friends!
  10. Thanks for all the support Mis73 sorry to hear about your Grandma! Another reason I love this site! I am so happy to have a diagnosis my family thought I was clumsy and crazy when I said I have numbness from the waist down! Glad to hear that the spinal tap won't be to bad I keep hearing the after headaches hurt the worst! Thx for the support! Xo

  12. Hi Banders I received bittersweet news from my Neurologist yesterday, he informed me that it looks like I have MS according to an MRI of the brain & neck and a visual evoked potential test.... With those test results both coming up abnormal and leaning towards MS my final test will be an upcoming Spinal Tap which after those results he will start me on treatment for this disease. I won't see my Lap Band surgeon until April 2nd but my Neurologists says that the lap band and losing weight will not affect my MS and "flare-ups" at all.. I have one co-worker who is 33 with this disease and that's it, so I am wondering if there is anyone on this forum who has MS and the Lap Band???
  13. Funny story... after the surgery I stayed with my Mom so she could take care of my kids and day2 I decided I would sleep in her bed.. bad idea it took about 15mins to lay on it and I could never get comfortable and I was stuck took about 20-30 minutes to figure out how to get back out of the bed! Its not a C-Sec but those stomach muscles are going to ache... Recliners are the BEST!!!
  14. My recovery was the same as Frederic I stopped the pain meds on day 4 and started driving day 5. I recommend the week off work if you do light duty desk work. The only pain I felt in my incisions was the port incision which I used an ice pack the first few days to help reduce. My doctor cleared me on my 1-week post op to do any light exercises that doesn't cause pain, so I walk on my treadmill for 30 minutes a day. Good Luck to you!
  15. So sorry to hear this, sending my condolences to you and your family!

I still do not have an appetite yet I have been forcing myself to eat a couple of spoonfuls of broth and 1/2 a sf Popsicle I can drink plenty but no desire to eat yet figured I would be starving by now??
  22. Congrats ChicagoRose I did get some nausea last night I thought I was going to vomit but nothing came out! My recliner and an ice pack over the port has been my best friend! Do you have an appetite yet? My Dr said I can have broth and protein shakes 30 grams today but I have no desire not sure how that's going to happen??
