Reactive Hypoglycemia
Yea, I just posted about this. It started for me 1 1/2 weeks after Surgery when I tried a premier shake while in the car. Luckily I was not driving. I became sweaty and felt weak almost like I was going to pass out. It lasted more than 1 hour. So I stopped the premier shakes for a few months. Then was able to slowly tolerate them. And I monitor the type of sugar that are in the shakes too. I switched mostly to Syntrax Nectar brand which did fine. Some sugars like maltodextrin causes it too even before Surgery. So when it happens, I d just have sit. I noticed I sometimes will talk slow like a diabetic who sugar drops! I tried to tell my Surgeon. I thought it was dumping syndrome because in the beginning it followed by abdomen cramps and running to bathroom. I just now learned that this is what I have A few months ago. So, if I eat simple sugars, I sweat can get lightheaded. I don't like that one day it lasted For hours with a headache too. Mine to is too many carbs that can cause it too. It does not happen all the time either. Thank God.

Why did u choose sleeve not the band ?
For me the Sleeve was the easiest choice. First, I did not want a foreign object in me. I didn't have time for fills. And I began to see a lot of revisions to sleeve as well. Though many can be successful. I did not want the Gastric Bypass either for several reasons. The Sleeve, I Love it! I wanted a slight slower weight loss the the Bypass I did get my wish. Lol

yeyyy I'm officially sleeved!

New Sleeve not tolerating artificial sweeteners....
Yes, I could not tolerate simple sugars. I actually may have reactive hypoglycemia from premier Protein shakes and almost all sugar in the beginning similar to a Diabetic who sugar drops. i still get it but not as bad. i get light headed and sweaty after certain sugars. however i can tolerate artificial sugar but cutting back. i needed to cut back anyway. But yes it get better.

Feeling Guilty
Don't feel guilty! Please don't let this sabotage your day. Concentrate on following the program. Sometimes ive spent time worrying about people who have spent little to no time with worry for me! Move ahead with your Journey. This WLS is a funny thing and that some people around us respond in unexpected ways. I just accept that can only change me. Maybe it's a small lost for them I don't know. But don't spend a moment worrying. I get stuff said to me everyday at work. It doesn't bother me anymore! Learning that I am stronger than I thought I was. I know longer need food to control me. I know longer need permission from others to heal and be Healthy. Congratulations we Celebrate with you!

Did any of you have food funerals prior to starting your preop diet?
I did a food funeral too. It was bad but Good! Now, after 10 months out I see I m not deprived on food. I can eat any thing I want but choose not. One thing I didn't go all out because I was afraid of being an open Lap. Long scar during my surgery. Good luck!

Thinking of food too much..11 days post op. Help help help
I went through the same thing. I was not expecting it either. So you are not along. Call your Nut. Going to a Support group can help. But, it is normal. But talking about it out is important. I'd call my Nut today. Sometimes I felt Hungry and it was gas pain too. It does get easier.
