  1. Hey, fair is fair. I said no rules, so no rules. Get your silly fill (crying.) And Teresa, I never said I'm quitting! But Penni gets a fill the week before my birthday (birthdays automatically make you gain five pounds) and then comes my monthly bloat. So while I'm packing in birthday dinners and getting PMS, she'll be on liquids and mushies and dropping weight like crazy. She probably already got a hysterectomy behind my back just to win. Who the heck goes to Jamaica and doesn't gain weight? She's up to no good! Hey, let's just change the Bash to this weekend! Now where did I put my methamphetamines?
  2. Penni doesn't even need a fill. She just wants to drool over her doctor! It's all a scam, I tell you! I never said anything about fair, either. I'm strategizing! Darn scholars addin' up dem fill numbers!
  3. WE ALL ROCK! Just the fact that we're all showing up and posting give us hope. I'm down 51 pounds. Penni, I nominate you to do the math on this thread to show a collective number. We are gonna knock Earth off it's axis with all this weight loss!
  4. Uh, it's pretty damn warm in here!
  5. Just in case you threw your shoes at my last post, I'm doubling up on my water right this second!
  6. Okay, I'm not chickening out, but I have to throw this out there... would it be fair to end the challenge when you get your fill? DON'T THROW YOUR SHOES AT ME!!!!!!!! ***as she walks around the room flapping arms and pecking at the ground***
  7. I very seriously asked my dentist to do it. He just held my hand with love and said, "no."
  8. Oh, so I never made it to the dealer to get my heater fixed, but since I was late and right by the DMV, I took my written test and got my motorcycle permit. HA HA, Chris failed the written part the first time even though he's been riding for 20 years. I aced it the first time... hahahahahahaha he's gonna be jelly in his belly!
  9. I get the dingbat award today, but at least I walked 2 miles! I had an appointment to take my truck to the dealer to fix a broken heater core. But when I left the house, my truck wouldn't get out of gear. So I drove in one gear all the way to my regular mechanic then walked the mile to work. As soon as I got here, they called and told me it was fixed. They simply pushed the little button to take it out of 4 wheel drive and put it back into 2 wheel drive. DUH. So I turned around and walked the mile back to get my Jimmy. I did everything from checking for flat tires, putting it into 3rd, 2nd, 1st gear, checking emergency brakes. It never occured to me that I was simply 4 wheelin' to work! Chris moved my truck last night so he could work in the garage. Only a man would put a truck in 4 wheel drive just to pull out of a driveway! So I got 2 miles walking (1 of them up slant (not quite a hill.)
  10. I'm exactly the same. Damn, Penni's getting a fill so where can I get a temporary jaw lock?
  11. I'm letting Chris know that I now have quality time around 5 p.m. NO interruptions.
  12. Okay, the official weigh in date is getting near. When I'm done posting, I'm taking the dogs for their long walk, then doing the Total Gym. I'm making appointments now. I get home from work right around 5:00 p.m. Who is home at that time for a phone call? Monday - Michelle? Tuesday - Penni, are you home? Wednesday - Darcy you? Thursday - ANYONE?????????????? Friday - ANYONE????????????? Girls, I'm in a bad, bad place with food... BUT, I'm also a fighter, so I know I can kick this thing and kick Penni's butt at the same time. I refuse to lose! Everyone PM me phone numbers and times I can call you. It will be worth the long distance bill. And I WILL keep my appointments to call. I will, I will, I will!
  13. Looks like I have no more time for playing around... making a challenge to myself to starve to death till then! Band, what band? Boo hoo, I want a port! I need a fill. Hey, my pool is empty! The workers drained it and chipped all the tile and plaster off. What a huge mess, but at least it will pretty for you girls to look at. Cold, but pretty.
  14. I forgot about drinks, but I never even order water for myself, so I guess if anyone's drinking they can throw in a few extra bucks to be fair. I know the guys will probably want something.
  15. One of my worst pre-band binges was a pint of Ben & Jerry's after stuffing myself with food. Since banding, I've had ice cream about 5 times. I told Chris I'll let myself have it when I get my period - damn it, we should get something for having one! But I've been good and only eating half one night, then half the next. I'm not sure what got into me the other day but it was definitely stress related because I also peeled off all my nails (trying not to bite them.) My vice is still booze. Maybe I'll ask Chris to take me to AA meetings. I don't really think I need them, but maybe it would kickstart some new friendships with people that do things non-related to alcohol. All my friends now encourage me to drink, so I need to find some non-drinkers. I'd be just as happy going to movies or bingo.
  16. Buca di Beppo will be easier since I cal pre-order when I make reservations, then we can split the bill evenly among us since the food is all shared. The German restaurant everyone orders separately but they refuse to do separate checks for large groups, so paying would be insane. I've been to Buca many times and these are party favorites. I suggest the following menu: Large Garlic Bread $8.95 2 Large Mixed Salads w/ gorganzola (my favorite!) $31.90 Penne Cardinal (Pasta w/ chicken in white sauce) $23.95 Mannicotti $23.95 Chicken Caccitori over Garlic Mashed Potatoes $24.95 Belle Festa (chocolate cake, ice cream & sauce disaster) $12.95 126.95 - food total 9.50 - tax 20.00 - tip (approx 15%) 156.45 - GRAND TOTAL Divided by 19 people would be about $8.50 each How does this sound to everyone? Buca di Beppo has a website, so if anyone thinks I should change anything, let me know before I place the order for Friday, October 8th at 5:00 p.m.
  17. It's the freakin' TV. When I'm alert, well rested, etc., then I don't plop down in front of the TV. But when I'm wigged out (like lately) all I want to do is PLOP when I get home - it's all my mind can handle. Soon, very soon all this insanity will be behind me. I can't wait to get my bike license to give him a taste of his own medicine. Let him sit on the couch with his mind spinning while I'm gone for hours at a time, and oops, forgot to recharge my cell phone!
  18. THE ULTIMATE CONFESSION: Gulp, here goes *** hands shaking in fear of you people....... Last night I ate a pint of Ben & Jerry's. It took me 2 sittings, but I ate the whole thing on top of too much dinner.
  19. Somebody please help me understand this band. Why do some people PB while others stretch the pouch? If you PB, do you stretch? If I'm eating too much for my pouch, why don't I PB? Since I don't PB, that means I'm stretching the pouch, right? So I think PBing is a good thing. I'm even learning ways to eat past golf-ball-in-throat. If you have chicken stuck in throat, eat Pringle and it pushes it down. Lisa has lost her last marble.
  20. Kyleigh, I had my first major anxiety attack at 17. In my 20's they were so severe that my doc put me on disability for almost 2 years. Back then he instructed me to only wear shirts with pockets and keep a pill in a pocket on my chest. After a few weeks, I was able to make it through a day without medication. Just knowing that pill was in my pocket helped me overcome the anxiety. I haven't had a full blown attack in years, but I keep meds in my purse at all times - always within reach. I usually take one before getting to the aiport, otherwise I hyperventilate on the plane and freak everyone out... the stewardesses help me breathe into a paper bag. I always preboard and sit up front, too, close to the exit.
  21. Teresa, I really do think you need to hi-five everyone you see today including strangers. Don't even explain yourself. Girly, you wanted to see under 300, and you did it. It's that simple. Far FNG OUT, seriously. Okay, I want serious answers here. Who on this board is abusing their band? I'm having major issues at night. There's no doubt that I've stretched my pouch on several occasions. I have some good days, but I'm seriously struggling at night, and I think I'm damaging my pouch. I've gone to bed kinda sick feeling about 5 times in the past month - not good. Is it only me? Does anyone know when the FDA is approving the brain band?
  22. I have a funny electrolysis story (imagine that?) Ten years ago I bought one of the home electrolysis units. I have about 10 hairs on my big toe, so I tried getting rid of those hairs first. It hurt like hell, but I kept going. But I ended up returning the stupid machine because it was really painful and I didn't think it was working. Well, after the huge red swelling went down 2 months later... let's just say I only have one hairy toe now. It actually worked!
  23. I think it's only fair that I open my house since I'm the only one not coughing up money for air & hotel. But having some of you early to help would be a blast! Too many cooks in the kitchen... run!
  24. Yep, I just got mine today, and I get it every 30 days. So no bikini bull riding for me... sorry.
  25. Damn, I wasn't even gonna shave my arm pits considering tank top weather will be over. Do I gotta pluck my eyebrows now, too? I'm taking off work that Friday and the following Monday, so I'll be up waiting for y'all. I'm 5 minutes from the aiport so start getting me arrival times before the margueritas get here - no drinking and driving!
