  1. great job! I am also almost 2 weeks out and I'm down 28 pounds as well but that includes preop.
  2. Hi Everyone! I am almost 2 weeks post-op and feeling great! I was down 32 pounds but I'm back up to only down 28. This number is total including pre-op. I need to keep in mind that the first 6 to 8 weeks are for healing. Once I started on the mushies I started putting a bit back on. I need to step away from the scale for a while. I will need a fill. I can eat more than a cup though I not allowing myself. I go in a month for my first fill. I can feel my port which I find kind of cool. When I want to eat more I just feel my port and it reminds me that I had surgery and I need to cherish this gift!
  3. I would say my incisioins hurt for the first week. The first 5 days were pretty bad. My 1 week of liquids also included Protein Shakes and soup so mine wasn't as hard as yours. It will get better! I started soft foods and I was so excited today!
  4. I will be 2 weeks post-op on Wednesday and I totally get what you are saying about not feeling like you had surgery. So crazy!
  5. I know it can be frustrating when you don't feel supportive. My family has been supportive on the surface, same with friends but I didn't have any hospital visitors other than my husband. You are doing this for yourself ultimately and you can do this! We are all here to support you!
  6. Mine took a month. Longest month of my life! You'll have your answer soon
  7. Best of luck today! None of my immediate family (other than my husband) came to the hospital and it was tuff but ultimately this is about you not them Focus on the positive today!
  8. My doctor told me that having the pills whole would be no problem unless I had difficulties. I have had no difficulties and one of my pills is rather large.
  9. I was 5 as well. I have not heard of 1 unless they are not doing the surgery laparoscopic.
  10. I am 6 days post-op and I'm no longer on pain meds. It's not that bad. The first 48 hours were my worst but nothing that the pain pills they perscribed and walking away the gass pain couldn't handle. By day 4 I was just taking tylenol for the pain and today nothing. The only "pain" I have is some discomfort on my port site. This was my first surgery ever so I don't have anything else to compare it to.
  11. I just met with my doctor today (I'm only a week post-op) and he said this happens to most people. Just hang in there until you get a fill. It can take several fills until you are in your green zone.
  12. Don't listen to other people! Follow your gut!! I am one week post-op and I have sleep-apnea as well. I had to bring my machine but they ended up not using it. They used one of the hospitals. It was put on me post-op. They did not put it on me at night because I had oxygen. The pain was not that bad as long as you get up and walk around. You'll do great!
  13. I had my post-op appt today and I have lost 10 pounds since my surgery 6 days ago! That puts me at a total loss of 30 pounds!!!
  14. I took no meds I walked it off. Everytime I would feel the pressure I would get up and walk. I ended up with no pain in my left shoulder and I'm 1 week post op.
  15. Hello! I am 6 days post-op and my surgery went very well. I haven't been on the forum mainly because I have had zero energy. I'm sure it is because of the 100% liquid only diet. I got to start mushies today so I cannot wait for lunch lol! I'm still starting my days with a protein shake. My pain is very slight. I am controlling it with tylenol at this point which is pretty amazing because tylenol does nothing for me typically. I did not get the left shoulder pain. I mainly just had pressure in my abdomen. I feel burpy a lot of the time and if I get up and walk it helps. I am still off of work till the 8th which is great. I feel like I will be good to go by then. I have a follow up appointment with my surgeon and dietitian today. Don't quote me on these numbers because I want to see what my doctor's scale says but pre-op diet I lost 10 pounds and 6 days since surgery I am down another 9 for a total weight loss of 30 pounds since I began this journey. Here are my pos-op tips so far: Whatever you do don't freak out if the scale goes up right after surgery. I got on mine and was up 5 pounds. It is water retention and gas. You just had surgery so ignore it! Prune juice - enough said LOL Water is a lot harder to get down than before but you can do it if you have it right by you and in a glass with a staw! Walking really does relieve the pressure
  16. Hi Everyone! I haven't really been on since my surgery on the 26th. My surgery went very well. The only reason I have not been on is I have zero energy. 17. Thanks everyone! Everything went well and I mainly have gas pain in my upper abdomen. I get to go home soon and I cannot wait to get there.
  18. I am banded! Overall I'm doing pretty good. Sore from bloating in my upper stomach area but my doctor said that would pass in a few days. I go home shortly and I can't wait!
  19. Iam banded. Overall I'm not feeling to bad . I feel very bloated in my upper stomach area and my doctor reassures me it is from the air the put in during surgery. I should be going home sometime this morning.
  20. I am getting banded today. My surgeon just called and moved my time up as well so I need to get my butt of of here and get ready to go! I'll let you all know how I'm doing after!
