  1. You look great, and I bet you feel amazing!! Keep up the great work! Congrats!
  2. I weigh myself every morning, but I only record it when I have a loss. Obviously, I don't lose every single day, and there are times I can go up to 2 weeks without a loss. When I do stall, I always stay within a few pounds of my lowest weight, so I know it's not a true gain. I just know that as long as I'm sticking to the rules, eating within my calories, and exercising my weight will eventually go down.
  3. I have an 11cc band with 1cc in it, and feel I have plenty of restriction. ...now if I could only find the secret to restricting this head hunger of mine...hahaha
  4. I buy the special K cracker chips, and have half a serving if I'm needing a chip fix. One serving is 27 chips , so half is perfect for me. I usually include them as part of a meal, and will top them with chicken or tuna salad.
  5. Scrambled egg with a wedge of laughing cow swiss cheese cut up in it was a fave of mine.
  6. That's great! Congrats!
  7. I was told coffee is fine. I have a big cup every morning, with some sugar free flavored creamer (and I track those calories, of course). I think I'd die without my coffee...and I'd feel sorry for those around me if I couldn't have it! haha
  8. I liked fat free refried beans, topped with a little bit of salsa, and then sprinkled with a pinch of fat free cheddar cheese.
  9. I was banded on 2/1, and have had one fill (one whole CC, lol) in my 11cc band. I've lost 39lbs since surgery (*almost* 60lbs total since my first appointment), and have worked for every pound. I haven't noticed any restriction, but I'm still following the rules to the letter. I also have made a goal for myself to exercise at least 15 mintues everyday, and I make sure I actually do it. I record everything I eat, and weigh myself everyday to hold myself accountable. I also have to say that I'm finding majority of my hunger to be head hunger...everyday I find that I'm able to recognize head hunger from real hunger more and more so it's getting easier. Try not to be discouraged if things aren't happening as fast as you feel they should. Be proud of every little ounce you lose, and every accomplishment you make. It ALL counts towards the ultimate goal. The best part is, we aren't alone, we're all in this together! We've got this!
  10. Such an inspiration! You look amazing!!
  11. Congrats! You'll be feeling better in no time!
  12. How scary! I'm so sorry you had to go through that!
  13. Other than the sour candy, I don't think there's anything wrong with pickles (although pickles are high in sodium) or lemons...as long as you can tolerate them, of course! I love ice water or unsweetened tea with lots of lemon squeezed in it
  14. Just keeping doing what you're doing, and don't to be a slave to the scale. The weight WILL come off as long as you continue to follow your doctors directions, and exercise regularly.
  15. That's awesome!! CONGRATS!!!
  16. Yep, very normal! I was up almost 8lbs the day after my surgery. It took a week or so for it to go back down. Also remember not to get discouraged if you don't lose much in the first few weeks... the weightloss tends to be slow while your body heals
  17. Age: 31 Banded: 2/1/13 Weight pre op: 291 Weight Now: 239 Goal weight: 175
  18. I had to be on full liquids for 2 weeks after. I had protein shakes, strained soup, sugar free jello and pudding, and lots of greek yogurt (with no fruit chunks). For mushies, I did tuna and canned chicken mushed up with a bit of light mayo, refried beans, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese topped with a bit of tomato sauce.
  19. I liked fat free refried beans topped with a little sprinkle of reduced fat cheddar and bit of salsa.
