  1. The picture was taken and I was too lazy to take the picture out of the frame. Lol. My heaviest weight was 327.... I weigh 289... Today. As soon as I decided for sure I started dieting... Or should I say choosing a healthier me....I'm a stress Eater... And 3 weeks after getting lap band my father in law had cancer surgery and isn't doing well.... So I had a couple of check ups and fills after my surgery where I gained weight, so stayed the same... For me everytime I got a fill I felt Restriction.... But within a week that feeling was gone and I really struggled with walking away from the food.... But with my last fill 4 weeks ago, the restriction has stayed.... I'm full at a cup and I feel like I'm getting help now. As I told my nurse... Don't get me wrong... I never thought this journey would be easy... But I think it would be easier at first.... But until they have that band in that right spot.. You are on your own... I have hit that spot... And wow what a difference... I feel like I can and will do this!! So can you!! Keep up the great work!
  2. Some challenges that I have had.... As my band gets tighter there is some foods that I can no longer eat... Like breads, lunch meats. Now that I have 7.5 cc in my 11 cc band I can no longer warm food up in the Microwave.. Goes down great the first day but left overs warmed up never seem to go down.. When I asked if other people had this problem.. It's seems very common. I have no regrets. But I will say this road was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.... Never thought it was going to be a piece of cake... But I until my last fill.. I really had to work super hard.. And walk away on times I was still hungry! Now I get full and I have to walk away from the food because my brain still wants it but my Stomach is full! I'm loosing slower than most but I'm learning everyday..... And I never plan on looking back..
  3. Thank you! Everytime I get a fill I feel like I'm learning everything over all over again... But I would say with this last fill I feel like my band is finally working!!
  4. The difference 4 months has done!! I'm on my way!!

    Left overs not going down

Thanks for all the input... Helps to know I'm not the only one!!
  7. I grilled out the other day some salmon....went down day 1 great..... Tried to warm up left overs..... Still very moist, small bites..... Won't go down gets stuck..... Has anyone had this problem..... Am I to tight.... So confused because I was able to eat it day 1 with no problem at all! Any input would be great... Thanks!
  8. I love oatmeal with a little bit of creamy peanut butter!
  9. I'm a little shocked your OB took you off that so fast.... My doctor feels its a precaution factor and to help with the sugar levels ( it keeps your body more balanced) therefore easier to loose weight! For facial hair their are other meds such as birth control...... Once your body is having normal cycles..... Your body will be in normal zone and you won't have all those side affects.
  10. You are on your way! So proud of you!! So very excited.... If ever you have any questions... I feel like I'm a text book for PCOS. I was very lucky to have had an OB that Diagnosed me right away and lead me to one of the best PCOS doctors... That does classes on PCOS! You can and will do this..... The reward is the best.... A beautiful baby!!
  11. I have pcos... Before banded we so wanted a child and we thought we would have to have In vitro.... Our insurance would pay for two tries.... So I wanted to give it my all.... We had one year before insurance would pay so I went to ww.... And lost 70 pounds... When my one year was up I went to the specialist and were trilled with my weight loss and wanted to proceed with invitro.. My specialist was top notch and told me if pcos was our only problem she would have me pregnant in 6 months! Right???? She put me on Metform which is for Diabetes... Which I didn't have.... But she explained my sugars might not be high enough for diabetes... But was to high to have a cycle.... One month on the meds.... One month.... And I was pregnant!! I had a hard 12 weeks at the beginning... But after that got to go to my normal OB... In April my son will turn 9.... I am living proof it can happen! No invitro... Natural!!! My son is the biggest blessing in our lives! I know a lot of people with pcos... And if that is the only problem.... Every person has gotten pregnant! Best wishes... Don't give up! I'm here to say it can happen to you!
