What adversions are you dealing with?

What is everyone's post op diet right after the hospital? I had my surgery on Monday, and had to be on clear liquids (broth, jello, water) until Friday morning. I start on full liquids (protein drinks, puddings, yogurt) today (Friday). I'm so ready to have a little substance. Glad to be done with clear liquids. My pre op diet was one week long. I have lost 12 lbs with the pre op diet and being 4 days post op. I didn't weigh myself right after the hospital, so I'm not sure how much I gained from iv fluids. I'm still sore, but feeling pretty good.

I'm just 3 days out, but when I do start on solid food, I know that I'll be dealing with the same obsessions. Hang in there.

What did they say the fever was from?

I'm trying to choke down my isopure, but it gags me a bit

I had my surgery and hernia repair Monday too. I'm on liquid hydrocone every 6 to 7 hrs as needed. I tried to get a prescription for liquid prevacid, but the pharmacy said I needed a prior authorization. Getting ready to call my surgeon's office to see what that's all about. I'm on clear liquids (broth, Jello, water) until Saturday morning too. I start on Protein drinks then too. I'm sleeping ok...off and on. I have had no stools at all yet.

I had my surgery Monday, and came home today. The first day was decent, but the second day was more painful, and I came down with a fever. I had the leak test Tuesday morning, and it showed no leaks, but my fever concerned them. I cried myself to sleep Tuesday night. With the tummy pain, and the fever, I felt horrible. I woke up this morning and felt better. My temp was 99 which was down from 101. I've been home since 11am, and am feeling ok. I'm on clear liquids until Saturday. My stomach cramps when I drink, so that's been a challenge. I'm on liquid Loratab, which helps with the pain. I get to go back on protein drinks, yogurts and puddings Saturday. I'm hanging in there

I'm with you! This pre op diet has been tough, but I made it through. But this clear liquid only is very hard. I'm so grouchy because I am soooo HUNGRY!!! I leave for the hospital in 10 hours. I tried to sleep the time away, but can't sleep when I'm hungry. Hang in there. It will be worth it!

YEAAAAAAAAAA!!!! How are you feeling today? I am HUNGRY!!! I don't have to do the bowel prep, but this clear liquid is kicking my butt! But I am so excited and ready! I have to be at the hospital at 5 am. Surgery at 7:30. Sooo happy for US

I will be furious if they get me sick, and I have to postpone!!!!!! Just had to vent! I'm just really stressing about this! Ugggghhhh!

My best friend loves those "it works wraps". I told her I would try them when I have lost my weight. I'm skeptical, but interested.

I was freaking out too.. So I called my surgeon, and they told me that they don't use a drain tube. YEA!
