My pre op starts on the 11th and surgery on the 18th. I'm curious to see if you start pre op same day as me? Hope so

I've also gained since October. My surgeon didn't say anything about it. I start pre op next Monday. I shouldn't do the "last supper" this weekend...But, I probably will

I don't start my liquid diet til the 11th, but I know I will be feeling the same as you. Try to remember to keep your eye on the prize! Hang in there and keep at it

They probably did sent the paperwork in on Tuesday, but your insurance didn't get to it until Friday. I had a couple of days in between like that too when they sent mine in. Why are you trying to contact your surgeon's office? It's really out of their hands at this point. Although, I do think it's wrong of them to not return your calls.

I called once a day EVERY day for three weeks before I found out I was approved. I sure wanted to call two or three times a day, but refrained..LOL. I totally feel your pain. Hang in there

I hear a lot of you are required to do clear liquids a day or two before surgery. My dr hasn't said anything about that to me. I'm assuming that I just do the normal protein shake up until the night before? I'll check with my dr, but what requirements do any of you have the day or two before "the BIG day"?

I get protein drinks, cottage cheese, egg whites, and broth. I have to stay under 1000 calories a day.

My surgery is on the 18th too! Pre op diet for me starts Feb 11.

I've managed to stay well through this flu season so far. But both of my kids AND my husband came down with the flu this morning. They are all full blown high fevers, aches, pains and chills. All I can think of is don't you dare get me sick 2 weeks before my surgery!!!! I did get my flu shot, but my kids did too Hope I can make it through!!!!

I am pre op, and really appreciate hearing everyone's experiences. It really helps me to know what I could possibly expect post op.

My dr says 10 to 14 days is best. I'm using vacation time, and only have 8 days left to use.

One week pre op diet consisting of protein shakes, broth, cottage cheese, and egg whites.

If u still have one week to go, and u stay on track from here on, I think u should be fine. My pre op is only for 7 days.

getting sleeved Feb 18. My pre op diet is only for one week. I sure hope my dr knows what he's doing since most everybody else's pre op is 2 weeks :/
