  1. I never see the doctors and I never get rushed. I bet she is at my drs practice it's suite 506 in the north building. I think it's st Mary's surgical or something like that.
  2. I currently take vitacrave (CVS brand) gummy and i take a gummy Fiber from Vitamin shoppe that has been working very well. Calcium is the problem. The nutritionist and the nurse said 1200mg of calcium citrate and I have looked everywhere it is so expensive and you have to take multiple times a day so I went for fill today and nurse said okay to take the carbanate which one type is the chewables. She said that was better then nothing. I did try some bariatric type of calcium but it tasted horrible and again to get the recommended does it was too much. Always make sure to get a calcium that includes Vitamin D. Best of luck.
  3. I asked my nurse about restriction today and she says you are waiting for the band to do something. Letting the band work you instead of working the band.
  4. Are You all eating solids and getting enough water? Following your eating guidelines? Just checking.
  5. Get a second opinion! I would not want it removed either.
  6. I really like this post. I have met so many people on this site who have more shakes than they eat solids. If I say something the all get mad and say I think I know everything. Not the case I just worry that they are too full and will cause other problems.
  7. So glad to meet you! Who did your surgery and who do you see for your monthly appt. on way to my appt now!
  8. Wow I have never been numbed at a fill! How awesome for you!
  9. Anyone here from Richmond? I would love to start a local group. Maybe a coffee group at one of the paneras. Also would like to start I clothes exchange. I live in Glen Allen Hope to hear from you!
  10. I don't think people are rude or mean to be. The problem is not all doctors have the same plans and guidelines. We don't want to give information that might be different. Its great to get support and advice but ultimately you have to answer to your doctor.
  11. Amazon says not out till December 26tj for $11.55 free shipping for prime users and $9.50 for kindle available now. Weird.
  12. I agree the trick is to feel satisfied between meals not full. Part of it is eating good solid protein foods. Things like shakes, yogurts and cottagecheese just act like sliders to me. Also the more water you drink the better it will help. Lots of people who thing they need fills are just not eating correctly. This comment is not aimed at anyone specific. Measure, track and chew. Best of luck!
  13. I agree forgive yourself and just get back on track. You have been. Through a lot. The hurricane was an unexpected obstical.
  14. In my experience you can have a fill than an unfill and you may not need as much.
  15. Is the pot roast frozen? I love their many different precooked sausages. Sweet apple chicken is my favorite.
  16. Button you need to check with your doctor for amounts this soon after your surgery. Congrats!
  17. I was told a lot of people do shakes in the morning because their bands are tighter. I was told not to rely on them all the time. It is important to eat high protein solid foods. I would love your recipe along with calories, fat and protein if you have it. I never stay full with shakes yogurt and cottage cheese.
  18. Make sure you are eatin what the dr prescribed. Careful of skipping meals or drinking to many substitutes. I also agree you should call your docotor.
  19. Maybe your skin is really dry.
  20. Jut thinking maybe it is the nurse and ot the doctor. Can you have him call u?
  21. I wouldnt for starters because doctor said not to, but mostly because diet coke then just a small piece of chocolate, mabye try some french fries etc...
  22. Definately all Ers do not know how to unfill. The best would be for you to call your doctor. They might have someone on call that can meet you there.
  23. This is really not a question for the forum. You really should call your doctor as soon as possible and ask what they suggest. Hope you feel better soon.
  24. Kudos on the picture tracking idea! What an amazing idea!
  25. My nurse said its ok to do ww but it is not for me. I feel it allows me too much food. I go to Jenny Craig once a week to weigh in and set a weekly goal. They dont charge me because I had already paid at some point for a lifetime membership. I know the dont have to let me come in but they are so nice in letting me. I have to be accountable in order to stay on track. Somewhere I saw a post for bands and weight watchers. Maybe you can find it. Best of Luck to you.
