  1. The only thing that really works for me is too ride it out and drink a lot of water. Usually if you don't eat sugar you wont crave it. Doesn't mean you cant occasionally eventually have a little here and there. Best of luck to you!
  2. Yeah what happened? Hope you feel better soon. I also hope I never can answer that question!
  3. I agree best advice is moving and gas-x. I still use this script on occasion!

  6. This is one of the best posts I have ever seen.
  7. That is one awesome NSV!!! It only gets better!!
  8. I totally understand and have been there. First you have to let go of any guilt about being of track. It will only weigh you down. Get your guidelines from doctor if you do not have them and follow exactly what they say to do. Start measuring and tracking everything. Drink lots of water. Spend time on forum and even the chat room. We will support you. I have been back on track since end of October and lost about 50 lbs 95.2 total. I am proof you can do it but you have to start and not look back. If you need some recipes or snack ideas you can friend me on facebook and I will add you to my recipe group. Fb name is hely lb anyone is welcome. If you are looking for specific recipes I will help you find them just email me. Remember let go of guilt and move forward. We have got your back !!!
  9. I am very interested. Can you fb me at hely lb?
  10. You really need to get the information you seek from your doctor or nutritionist. We are all different as are all of our doctors. Congrats on starting your journey!
  11. I have never heard of a doctor doing that. You can look one way under xray but it affects you differently. I also prefer slow and steady. I have been too full a few times and had to have unfills. They will only give me .25 at most now. I also prefer to be looser then tighter. It works for me. I need to enjoy my food and cooking. Best of luck to you.
  12. I have had band 4 years. Unfortunately I did not follow doctors guidelines and gave up. I don't advise this. I have been back on track since end of October and doing really well. My life has changed and continues to change all the time. I cook most of my meals and measure everything. I will not go off track again. I am in so much of a better place now and will continue forward. I have lost 95.2 so far and had no problems with my band other then too full a couple times.

  15. I cannot find the post where someone reccomended the protein shots but I just wanted to let you know both my doctor and nutritionist told me not to use them. Something about the type of protein and the ability to absorb the protein. I have also seen posts in the past where people were told the same thing. I am just asking that you make sure your doctor is ok with using them.
  16. The bean chips to contribute to satisfying my hunger. Again they have both protein and fiber. Not your average chip!
  17. I have not heard of anyone having any problems. I read a book written by a flight attendant who was banded about her journey. I do not recall her having any issues either. Sorry I do not remember the name of the book off hand.
  18. That is a really awesome NSV!!! It will just keep getting better!!
  19. Stay strong! You can do it hang in there!!!
  20. It really depends on what kind of chips you eat. The bean chips have fiber and Protein so a much better snack then your average grab and go kinds. I bought Special K chips and ate the whole box so I totally understand however I dont have that problem at all with the bean chips and they taste awesome.
  21. Congrats on your journey!! You might want to work on changing some of your habits now. It will make it much easier for you after the surgery. Things like chewing really well and putting your fork down between bites. No drinking with meals and none until 30-60 minutes after and no carbonation. That was a hard one for me. Keep us posted. We got your back!
  22. I am so inspired by you!! Joined a gym and my first class is tomorrow!!!
  23. For me that would definitely be too tight. You should be able to eat more then just a few bites. You need to make sure to get all your food in. Your body needs calories to burn calories so it is important to eat. If you are getting in all your meals and required protein that is one thing. If you are not getting this in you may want to have a smidge taken out.
  24. Try using sf ff pudding mix or pb2 (a peanut butter substitute) or even sugar free syrups. Time to start being creative. It is good to be a little scared but dont let the fright take over. You will do great!!
