Banded 10-4-12. I'm having acid reflux every time I drink & EAT pretty much... I didn't know what symtoms were until I googled yesterday. My Dr advised me today that my fill is to tight and I need to come in ASAP to unfill my band completely and let rest. Dr said liquids til I go in. Anti Acid helps a little in meantime. Has anyone else experienced ACID REFLUX. What was your symtoms & outcome? I'm hoping band hadn't slipped.

Banded 10-04. Powerade Zero is my go to drink (green or blue). Before my band I drank coke zero everday but am doing fine without any carbonated drinks now. Good luck.

I just did a search on here for the word "gas" (LOL) cuz its constant at 1-1/2 month post op for me. It's a good thing I'm single and live alone. What's happens when I start dating? Goodness... I hope Gas-X works... What does eveyone use besides Gas-X?

I am Day 25 post op. I lost 9lbs at day 7 and at 3 weeks I gained 1 lb. I'm not looking forward to really losing too much weight til after my first fill. Due to all the feedback I have read I think its pretty norm.

I've read if you toast the bread it seems to work best...I haven't tried yet myself...

Yes, I had low BMI. That is correct. I'm still at only 9 lbs down Day 18...

Oh, nice to hear from another of Dr. Ortiz's patients. My experience with Dr. Ortiz and his staff has been amazing. Very clean and nice facility. My travel was easy because I live in San Diego county. I was home same day.... My incision area is still sore to laugh, sneeze, etc. But I also had hernia repair so I'm thinking that's why... I am very happy and getting closer to Day 21 so I can finally eat.... I would highly recomend Dr. Ortiz if anyone is thinking of going to Mexico. Feel free to send me messages if any questions. So far so good. Down 10lbs post op.

I had my band done in Mexico with Dr. Ortiz on Oct 4th. My band is FDA approved Realize 11cc. For those of you that didn't do your bands in Mexico please don't judge the entire country as using discountinued lap bands. That is not the case always. There are many reputable doctors in Mexico that use FDA approved bands. I'm just saying if you choose to go out of the country I would highly recommend doing a lot of research as I did on the band & doctors.

I personally like Fredricks of Hollywood for full figure coverage. Employees are very helpful in stores w/ fittings. Recently I found a CHAMPION Brand Bra at Kohls. It has full coverage, like a sports bra but with nice wire support.. Very comfortable with nice support ( they don't fall out-LOL).....I also like to wear SONOMA (Kohls) supportive tank tops over bra....Nice support under blouses.

My doctor says walking 15 min a day when you can. Exercise 3 weeks after surgery....

I'm 12 days post op today....I didn't have pre op diet due to my BMI b4 surgery. I lost 7lbs on Post Op Day 9. I was very surprised. Good luck to you. I've got 9 more days on liquids ( popsicles, cream soups, gatorade, water, protein shakes, Jamba juice, liquid yogurt )..
