  1. I was given heparin at surgery time to help avoid possible blood clots later. Apparently it was too much and I bled a bunch. Started passing blood thru my bowels. Bruised at every site I was pinched poked pierced or prodded. This caused me to faint upon standing. Much better now.
  2. I'm 6 days post op and still on clear liquids for another week then full liquids for 2 weeks. And no issues with that.
  3. My Facebook is Victoria Newman Dingler
  4. It has been nice to be able to lay around all home these last two days. Having lost so much blood and subsequent transfusions has taken a toll. So tired. But I get up at least once an hour and walk laps around the house. It helps. I keep getting nose bleeds though.
  5. 5 days post op and finally home from hospital after some complications. Just so tired pain is minimal though. I have to admit, when I first woke from surgery my I wondered what the heck I did to myself. Ugh.
  6. Way to go! As a fellow Texan it's good to know I can get back to that someday you
  7. Oct 6 for me too. I could start a group on Facebook if anyone is interested. Let me know.
  8. October 6 here. Ready to go! I don't have a pre-op liquid. Just the day before with a bowel prep.
  9. I had my pre-op apt today. I am not required to be on a liquid diet prior to surgery, except for a bowel prep the day before. I am surprised, as I thought everyone had to do that. Yay. How are things progressing for everyone else?
  10. October here! the 6th
  11. I am now officially in the Oct 2014 group. I am looking forward to seeing more Oct buddies join here. Good luck all.
  12. I'm so excited. I just got "the" phone call saying I'm approved and have surgery scheduled for 10/6. Yes!
  13. 8 oz. milk (I used almond milk) 1 scoop vanilla protein powder 1 tbsp. sugar-free, fat-free banana cream pudding mix 1/ 8 tsp. pumpkin pie spice 1 packet of no-calorie sweetener 1 drop of butter extract Blend with ice. Tastes like cake batter.
  14. I received my box - thanks Angie- and it was filled with great treats and drink helpers. It was fun to go thru everything. I like the hard candies and the snap pole most. Can't wait till next month!
  15. Love this. It's exactly how I feel!
  16. Please add me to the list. Vdingler@gmail.com Thanks
  17. I had a flex and gave it to my daughter. Got tired of it being on my arm ALL the time. Got a one and love it. Hooks on my bra or in a pocket. Keeps track of stairs.
