Arizonakimc reacted to Mel32 in 2Cc In 4Cc Band- Little Restriction
I may be mistaken, but I read in some part here, that for a strange the 10cc bands are called 4cc. If that's the case, you might have a 10 cc band with a 4cc fill it might be little. I have a 100 cc with a 7.5 cc and I'm fine with the restriction..
Are you sure it's such a small band the one that you have?

Choked up. Or maybe that's just the band restricting.

As I was walking this morning - I saw the fit woman ahead walking toward me. "Just keep your head down....don't look her in the eye", I thought. I was hot with bright red cheeks and my hair was drenched with sweat and actually, I hadn't even been walking for very long. Here she comes and I can't help myself....I glance over and I see it in her eyes and without saying a word she spoke to my soul: "Don't you be embarrassed....keep going....you're doing great....I'm proud of you....you're worth it!"
I returned home and remembered a fellow writer who shared one of his writings titled "Hey, Fat Girl". I feel guided to share it with you with the intention it will bring you the inspiration it brought to me:
    Hey, Fat Girl!
Yes, you. The one feigning to not see me when we cross paths on the running track. The one not even wearing sports gear, breathing heavy. You’re slow, you breathe hard and your efforts at moving forward make you cringe.
You cling shyly to the furthest corridor, sometimes making larger loops on the gravel ring by the track just so you’re not on it. You sweat so much that your hair is all wet. You rarely stay for more than 20 minutes at a time, and you look exhausted when you leave to go back home. You never talk to anyone. I’ve got something I’d like to say to you.
    You are awesome.
If you’d look me in the eye only for an instant, you would notice the reverence and respect I have for you. The adventure you have started is tremendous; it leads to a better health, to renewed confidence and to a brand new kind of freedom. The gifts you will receive from running will far exceed the gigantic effort it takes you to show up here, to face your fears and to bravely set yourself in motion, in front of others.
You have already begun your transformation. You no longer accept this physical state of numbness and passivity. You have taken a difficult decision, but one that holds so much promise. Every hard breath you take is actually a tad easier than the one before, and every step is ever so slightly lighter. Each push forward leaves the former person you were in your wake, creating room for an improved version, one that is stronger, healthier and forward-looking, one who knows that anything is possible.
You’re a hero to me. And, if you’d take off the blaring headphones and put your head up for more than a second or two, you would notice that the other runners you cross, the ones that probably make you feel so inadequate, stare in awe at your determination. They, of all people, know best where you are coming from. They heard the resolutions of so many others, who vowed to pick up running and improve their health, “starting next week”. Yet, it is YOU who runs alongside, who digs from deep inside to find the strength to come here, and to come back again.
You are a runner, and no one can take that away from you. You are relentlessly moving forward. You are stronger than even you think, and you are about to be amazed by what you can do. One day, very soon, maybe tomorrow, you’ll step outside and marvel at your capabilities. You will not believe your own body, you will realize that you can do this. And a new horizon will open up for you. You are a true inspiration.
    I bow to you.

I was starting to fall off track too and went out yesterday and bought half cup portions for my food. I am on mushies and put it all in the containers. Today at work i made sure to eat only every two hours or so, half cup portion every time- and I stayed under 1100 calories. Yesterday I was feeling horrible about myself but today i started fresh and feel proud again. I still thought about food a lot but two hours was not that long so I could wait and drink Water. It is never too late to start again. You can do it!

Generally speaking, the rule is no more than 1 cup of food per meal. Less than a cup is fine but don't exceed 1 cup.

An only liquid diet doesnt slough away the crud that builds up in our mouths or take away the dead skin cells from our tongues, this coupled with the Protein in shakes makes our mouths feel like the inside of a banana skin .. once u start eating normally things will improve. This is also common after any surgery, but normally we are qquicker to start eating normally than for bariatric surgery. Just keep up a good hygiene routine for your mouth .. it will get better

Ok- so I am 10 days post op and I finally got my color back and feel better. I was really worried because I usually bounce right back from things, but not this surgery. I am feeling hopeful now and my energy has returned. Still on liquid diet and doing great! I kind of like this muscle milk. Ha ha! Thank you to everyone for your kind words and support!

It would be frustrating to wait so long. I was self pay too but I opted to go to Dr. Almanza in Mexico. I was very scared and many people did not want me going to Mexico, but now that it is done I am so grateful I did it. The experience was good and everything was clean and professional. Maybe reconsider going to Mexico if you want to get done sooner. I hope everything works out for you.

This is so inspirational! I just got banded August 18th and cannot wait until I am excited to shop again. I have been wearing the same pair of jeans for a long time and I online order now because I hate shopping and my size is not usually in stores. After reading this I remembered there was a time I liked shopping for clothes.. When I was thinner! Thank you for sharing and I cannot wait to be where you are. So far the liquid diet has been difficult but I am staying strong.

You're still healing exhaustion is probably normal. The best thing so far is that I AM getting rest. I would normally be running around like the energizer bunny never getting enough rest. Rest up, you'll get your strength back soon.

I have fills (if I need them) every 4 weeks, but every surgeon is different. It sounds like yours works on the side of caution, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Hello. I was banded saturday and I am swollen but feeling discouraged over the scale's refusal to move. Still on liquids only. Did anyone else experience no weight loss directly after surgery? I am hoping I am retaining Water. I just feel miserable and it would sure be nice to have some weight loss. My stomach is sticking way out!
