Hi all. I am still on the liquid diet. Less than two weeks post op. I have had a bad taste in my mouth that I worry is causing me to have bad breath. Did anyone else have this and does it go away?

An only liquid diet doesnt slough away the crud that builds up in our mouths or take away the dead skin cells from our tongues, this coupled with the protein in shakes makes our mouths feel like the inside of a banana skin .. once u start eating normally things will improve. This is also common after any surgery, but normally we are qquicker to start eating normally than for bariatric surgery. Just keep up a good hygiene routine for your mouth .. it will get better
