Here are the lists that my nutritionist gave to me for the different stages of eating after having surgery. The moderator may want to make this thread a sticky for those who don't get defined lists, as I've noticed a lot of questions about this topic in the past.
    *STAGE 1 - liquids
START: When you return home from your surgery
DURATION: For 2 weeks post surgery, or until your next dietitian appointment.
    DIET: Clear and full liquids

I hope that this helps those who are researching getting the band, with knowing what your eating habbits will be like after surgery. I also hope that this will help those who are never given a clear eating plan after surgery too.
Please know that this is just the plan that was given to me, and I do not expect all bandsters to follow this plan. It is simply a guidline for those who need one/are not given one.
Please remember to follow exactly what your surgeon/nutritionist says, even if it is different than this list.

You will be surprised at how well you bounce back. I was driven home 2 hours after surgery, then an hour later went to pick up my scripts at costco.
You have to walk around a lot anyway to prevent clots and to move the gas around.
When the dr says that you must do well enough it is because they require you to drink. If you can and don't vomit then you are well enough. Remember that a hospital has a lot of " things" floating around. You'll be in a weakened physical state and you immune system is not at its peak, sooooooo going home and resting is the best thing possible.

Surgery day tomorrow. I am a mix of emotions today, Happy, scared, excited, but mostly can't wait to do things like ride a bike and walk the mall without my knees and feet hurting. I already feel so much better having lost the 40 lbs during the last 7 months (since seeing the surgeon the first time) that I can't wait to lose more. I have already put away the NEED for the large portions that got me here. I know there are more challenges along the way but as another poster's said being overweight is a challenge. One I've fought since about 3rd grade. I am ready to see what else is out there in this thing called LIFE.
