  1. I'll have to try these ideas... As for soy I've never really liked it, but for all I know my taste may have changed.

    2 Forms Of Bc

    Birth Control
  3. Prior to surgery I was able to drink protein shakes no problem. I was also lactose sensitive prior to surgery. Since surgery, I can't stand almost any milk products. Most of the pre-mixed protein drinks have milk in them and I can't handle them. Also, just the smell of powder (even unflavored) makes me sick to my stomach. I'm almost 4 weeks out and just started eating a few spoonfulls of peanut butter each day just to get some protein in. Anyone out there lactose intollerant and found a protein drink that they can handle? Oh and most powders I've tried with water are absolutely disgusting...

    Stall Ugh!

I was stalled for about 2 weeks, 2 weeks post-op. It was so frustrating. Then when I got to eat full liquids, it was if the scale started moving up. I freaked out and called my doc. They said it's normal and it will pass. As of yesterday, I finally started to see the scale move and it's such a great feeling. I was sleeved Aug 6 and I think it's more inches off my waist then the pounds that's keeping me motivated.

    2 Forms Of Bc

I was told by my doc to use 2 forms of BC after surgery, which isn't a prob... even though it kinda stinks. My question is how long do I need to use more than one? My doc didn't really explain that well. I tried to look it up but came out unsuccessful. Thank you!

    2 Week Stall

Thank you. It makes me feel normal, considering everything the past few weeks is anything but.
  7. I also only needed to be on a clear liquid diet the day prior only. The day before that was a family reunion and I ate quite a bit. My surgery went just fine with no problems. You'll be just fine.
  8. I had surgery Aug 6th. It's been a few days and I'm stuck, weight wise. I haven't lost anything for a few days and have slowly added 2 pounds back. I'm still on a liquid diet that's consisted of cream soup and water. I'm exercising about 35 min daily and nothing... Is this normal? I plan to check with my nurse tomorrow but I'm antsy...

    No Energy

Thanx guys. I'm also trying to add protein and this is going to be a tough battle ahead.
  10. I am 4 days post op and having a really hard time. The incision pain is terrible on top of my abdomen just plain sore. I had to quit taking Lortab because it was making me nasious. I've been sleeping almost all day because I'm physically drained. I know I didn't hit my fluid quota yesterday and I'm struggling again with it today. How bad is it if I don't get all my fluids? Mostly because I've been sleeping. Help! I'm really starting to regret the surgery

    August Sleevers?! Where Ya's At?

I had my surgery Aug 6th and I'm still in a lot of pain. I'm having really bad reflux and spasms and it's brought me to tears a few times. I'm starting to question if this is worth it? I can't even drink water without pain. Please tell me that the pain and spasms and reflux will go away! I did not imagine it to hurt this much. Was I being too naive?
