  8. Oh wow I'm sorry they don't seem too helpful. I started my journey with an informational meeting on all 3 surgeries. Then made an appointment with my surgeon and his nurses gave me a folder of all insurance requirements and what I had to do. Once they were done I was submitted to insurance and approved. I met with my surgeon two times before pre op just to clarify what surgery I wanted. My surgeon didn't ask for anything else. He would not give me a pre op appointment or surgery date until I was approved by insurance. I would suggest trying to attend a seminar (they should be twice a month through your center. If they are a bariatric center this should def. Be something they offer. Good luck keep me posted!! Also there should be a website of ur hospital that offers the meetings or displays when they are Sent from my Samsung Admire using VST

  10. ooo i love greek yogurt, my surgeons nurse suggested mixing the plain vanilla with crystal light. i eat 8oz at a time (on the pre op diet) im allowed it once a day so that has helped as well
  11. my surgeon requires us to be smoke free 3 weeks before surgery which i have been slightly successful at doing. ive been using an e cigarette but it died, i havent bought a pack in almost a month which is great! i took a few drags the other night off my neighbor and my surg is 8 days away! ugggh so hard i want tto be cig free forever. he says after 3 weeks it is ok to smoke again but i dont plan on going back or picking up the habit again. day 2 of my liquid diet. we are required to be on it for 10 days i am doing good despite the headaches. im in connecticut and i have my pre op clearance on thursday at 1pm! if we lose power im scared appointments will get backed up and ill be pushed into next week! i need this clearance and my surg is nov 6th! just praying mother nature stays on my side

  15. **i meant i chose the solid food part for lunch because i can burn it off better during the day.
  16. my pre op diet consists of Protein shakes they want us to have them 3-4 times a day. my shake filled me up really good this morning. i am also allowed veggies (steamed no carb veggies) and yogurt,2oz of chicken) cottage cheese, hard boiled egg once a day. so out of the list i can choose two along with veggies. i chose 2 do solid foods. i honestly dont understand the head hunger part because i eat when im hungry and have physical pain for food in my stomach. i try to drink Water or flavored water as much as i can in between. i dont want 2 go to sleep with solid foods in me. so i will be having a shake for dinner. good luck to you! we can do this!!!! only 8 more days left!!!
