  3. i understand how you feel but in the end you have to do what is right for you. you cant feel guilty for having joy for yourself because who else is going to feel as good as you do knowing that you made the right decision. things will happen for her eventually, it may just not be the right time right now. good luck to you and her!! congrats!!!
  4. hey CMF i had a question about your dietician appointments did your insurance/surgeon/ dietician specify HOW much weight you have lose within the 6 months? what do you mean within the last 4 years? im just wondering because my dietician says i need to maintain my weight ive only been able to lose 14 pounds in the last 4 months but my surgeon says bmi is so high i dont have to worry about being denied. theres always a chance though...
  5. im in Connecticut and because i have a daughter and make JUST under the income limit i qualify. do you have any kids? if you apply for state insurance because youve done all the prerequirements you would prob get approved. im supposed to get my surgery the end of september. no official date yet im too anxious for my own good!!
  6. sorry if this comes through twice my comp just did something weird. anyways i cant believe your insurance said that. esp because all your conditons are probably related to your weight. i would appeal this AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! it doesnt sound fair at all to me. luckily i have state insurance where everything is free BUT they make me do 6 month dietician visits and my bmi is also 50. i would really try to fight this case as much as you can. ive always heard that you get approved faster esp if you do have pre exisiting conditions. ill pray for you grl!!!
  7. hiiii. im so sorry! i bet you are dissapointed but it will go by very fast. if you dont mind me asking, where are you from and what insurance do you have? what qualifies are pre exisiting condition and did your surgeon or insurance tell u about this before???
  8. this emoji thing seems really cool. i went to get my prescription today and my dr called in vaniqa!!! i transferred the prescription to walmart and its 79.99. ill try out the vaniqa and hopefully ill see some results. some people say emoji hurts but then some say it doesnt. oh well ive gone through everything so i can deal with the pain. thanks ladies!!!!!!
  9. trust me it goes b y wicked fast. i have my dietician appt aug 21st then the last one september 5th. i cut it close BUT my insurance said as long as their 6 months consecutively its fine. i am nervous about the approval but i have state insurance and my bmi is 50. my surgeon said iwill definatly be approved it goes by VERY VERY fast. i started my journey in april and im almost there! i go to the gym every other day and i also have a 2 year old and full time job to keep me busy and keep my mind off of things. good luck to you and it will be greatttt!
  10. wow im glad i found this post. this runs in my family and unfortunately its been something i struggle with all my life. my mom actually introduced me to the electrolosis. it worked for her. not for me. she ended up BURNING my face. so i just went back to shaving EWW everyday, i recently broke out with ingrown hairs and decided to go with threading. until my face clears up then ill be starting the threading. laser sounds 2 expensive and my doctor wants me to get blood work done for PCOS before presribing vaniqua thanks for posting!!
  11. thank you for sharing!!! this site is so amazing and i cant wait 2 get my surgery date. im just terrified of how to handle my 2 year old lol
  12. ive also read on here that the gas medicine given to babies helps alot!! maybe try that
  13. hmm that i dont know. you may try google for that one but honestly when i went i just breathed in a machine a bunch of times. took a break then did it again. they printed my results and said my clearance was all set! i was honest and up front about the smoking and they understand it is hard to quit. also after meeting with my surgeon last week he sai as long as im clear a full month before and after surgey i should be ok. (which is why i didnt go for the bypass. if you get bypass and ur still smoking you will get ulcers) i plan on quitting for good but just in case i slip up
  14. if it was dumping youd be on the toilet and in pain. it comes and goes but youd def know. i havent even had surgery yet but from changing my habits i get it just from eating clam chowder.
  15. hey! i took the pulmonary exam and they never specified u need to be smoke free.i am a smoker and i passed the test with flying colors. the pulmonolgist is a test to see how strong your lungs are. he DOES reccommend that you quit smoking 3 months BEFORE your surgery date and he WILL put that on your paperwork. i personally was just prescribed chantix to quit so at least my insurance and surgeon will see that im consitently taking it before my surgery date. hope that helps
  16. oooo i love where have you been by rihanna. its a great beat for the ellyptical. i also LOVE lights by ellie golding. i dl the remix. and if your into jamaican music there is a something called the WORKOUT RIDDIM it features lots of various artists but its really fast past and fun!!!
  17. wow im so sorry to hear that. im sure if you have a follow up visit and show that mentally u are ready they will work with you. i know with my insurance they approved me but they also allow at least 1-2 visits. i would say dont give up hope. have you finished all your other pre op appointments? stay positive and if its meant to be it will be
  18. no confirmed date yet. last appt with surgeon is sept 17th. submitting to insurance on sept 6th so hopefully end of sept beginning of october i'll be sleeeved
