  1. i cant tell if you if its bad or not. but i was sleeved the same day as you and it terrifies me to think of real food at the moment. my surgeon was very strict and specific liquids for two weeks post op. i don't even have a follow up with him until the 19th. but every surgeon and office is different. if you are going to experiment i would suggest not doing it with rice (esp because of the starch).you can always call the the nurses line if you are worried but i would def stick to the plan at this point good luck!!!
  2. hi daisy! i was sleeved on the 6th and i have a 2 1/2 year old. i am separated from my hub right now but i do have a lot of friends who come over and help. i know everyone heals different but honestly if i didnt have their help i think i would be perfectly fine. the first few days you will need help not gonna lie. but i am post op 5 days now and feel great. my only challenge is i can not lift her up. she has mastered climbing in her high chair but we've been doing dinner at her coloring table so it hasnt been too bad. the incision pain is so minimal too at this point and she knows how to get pull ups, pants and socks are so its a big help. i just like you have over 100 to lose and although emotionally after first i was having trouble, i am feeling much happier about my decision and love feeling restriction and knowing when to stop. im still on liquids for another week. i would really research, become familiar w/ all the complications that can arise but do this for you and only you!! good luck in your decision!!
  3. I have been sleeved for 6 days now and I usually have to shave everyday ugh gross hate admitting it but since pre op diet the growth has slowed down a little bit I'm getting vaniqua as soon as I can afford it! LOL it's 100.00 at Walmart Sent from my Samsung Admire using VST

  9. hey i'm no doctor but i am on liquids for 2 weeks before i can even graduate to mushies. i know every surgeon is different but i'm confused why they would push you on mashed potatoes of all things...that's starch, starch turns into sugar, then sugar turns into the fat. i would think he would throw something with a little more protein in there. after liquid stage i can have sf pudding, low fat yogurt, cottage cheese bananas, light stuff like that. go with your gut feeling on this one hope you are doing well and healing nicely sleeve sista~ how are you doing with liquids? do you feel wicked full off of them
  10. oh yeah i am only allowed SF hard candy havent experimented w/ chocolates and stuff too soon too scared lol
  11. i am so happy that my NUT put sugar free candy on the list. i am enjoying it and it helps with nausea. in moderation of course and its crazy because when i swallow i get full but i like it because it doesnt leave that nasty sugar flem on your teeth.
  12. awww im sorry about that. congrats on your success! it may be what you are wearing as well. my neighbor came over today i havent seen in her since last week and she said she noticed alot in my face and neck area. but i am not down too much and i notice it in my fingers but nothing else.
  13. well honestly every surgeon and hospital and program is different. i dont see the difference between yogurt and jello. because they disolve in your mouth right....lol i wouldnt worry especially if the orders came directly from the hospital and your surgeon. i would kill to be able to eat yogurt right now gotta stay strong but it is hard.. lol im so stuffed from water and i am happy about it
  14. I am not not until week 3. I am allowed SF hot coco which I don't like and broth gives me nausea. It's been hard preparing food for my daughter the smells is what gets me LOL Sent from my Samsung Admire using VST

  20. OMG! this sounds like me EXACTLY! i took was just sleeved on November 6th!!! i had the same issue at 2 am and then again at 5am last night!!! and i didnt realize what was going on. ESPECIALLY because i havent seen my period in. TWO.YEARS. i have implanon in my arm the birth control. i called the nurses line just to make sure it wasnt anything to freak out about and he said it was totally normal and that it does happen. that is insane that the same exact thing happened to you lol. but we are ok and normal. it just kinda sux for me i loved not getting my period. hope you are healing well and getting your fluids in with no problem still a struggle for me...
  21. you look beautiful and thank you so much for sharing with us your hair looks nice and thick and pretty too!!!
  22. congrats! it feels good to finally get the tests done one by one! surgery will be here sooner than you know it. i read alot about these hernias. do they hurt???good luck to you. hope you get your surgery date soon.!
  23. bangin! congratulations!!!
  24. Thank you soooooo much! !! I am home now soon happy. I was very low and depressed today regretting my decision but I feel so much better and happier more confident. I can't tolerate anything unless it is warm room temperature which is OK it is a crazy ride and I don't want to regret my decision. I guess the feeling of fluids going all the way down is so uncomfortable it was making me not want to drink. Feeling better nausea is pretty much gone and incision pain is very minimal Sent from my Samsung Admire using VST
  25. your surgeon or discharge nurse should have gone through how you would feel the next 2 weeks. that is a normal feeling only because we are still swollen down there and its a healing process. i am going through the same thing so i wouldnt worry. i notice that the warm liquids and room temperature are going down much smoother for me. are you really concerned? if so i would call your surgeons office there is always a nurse on call to help. good luck to you! i was sleeved on the 6th
