going through the same thing its killing me i usually burp right after 3 days post op feeling sad and kinda regretful but hanging on....

i am 3 days post op and obviously only on liquids. this is ALL that i hear. 24/7 very annoying lol

Jess I am sitting here at home so thinking and praying for you!!! I know everything will work out in the end for both of us. I am having trouble still with nausea and getting the liquids in and my stomach is constantly gurgling. I barely got any sleep last night too. Hey guys thanks for all the updates! I'm finally going home today. My doc gave me nausea prescription and some other stuff to coat my belly. Warm liquids are my friend the cold Water or even room temperature definitely hurt. I'm excited to get home and rest. U can barely see my incisions they are sealed with glue. This surgery was no joke and I to am having wicked gas pain. I been walking but apparently not as much anyways good luck to all of us praying for great recovery Sent from my Samsung Admire using VST

Hiiii. Yes it was my birthday and I am now 3 days post op at the hospital now. I am having very bad nausea and might stay an extra night. Gas pain is under control and I am walking a lot. Please prepare for the pain. I have no morphine pump. The medicine does work but this surgery is no joke. I feel happy and blessed no leaks or blood clots. Just trying to rest it up:) it is verrrrrry hard getting liquids in. I am stuffed honestly just from 3 sips of Chicken broth! !! Surgeon wants me drinking 5 bottles of liquid water and protein shakes. It will be a challenge but iI'm sure the more I heal the easier It will be. Sent from my Samsung Admire using VST

Just a quick update guys they may be keeping me an extra night due to my extreme nausea. I've been getting medicine but they had to replace my IV location because it kept stopping. We got a huge storm out here but I am so ready to go home. Not in that much pain anymore my incisions are so small. I can still only take 3 sips of Water like every hour this is insane. Hey guys just wanted to check in surgery yesterday at 1pm. Just did my leak test and I finally got some crystal light and chicken broth. I'm stuffed how are we supposed to get all these fluids in???? I burp after every sip. The incisions are barely visible they sealed them with glue which is cool!!! I am exhausted though but walked two laps so far:) I feel 100x better than yesterday! !! Ahhhh! the day has finally come! i am sitting in the hospital bed here with my mom getting ready to go down to the 4th floor anethesia. i cant wait! i cant believe ths is finally happening and i am soooo exciteed! i got my IV in, in my hospital gown, wearing my glasses no contacts. no earings. nail polish on nails and toes though. haha best birthday present ever!!!! getting sleeved at noon. the staff here as been so nice and i just hope and pray i wake up and feel better!!! i am so exhausted though i dont know why because i slept so good last night. ANYWAYS sleeve famiily you guys are the best. thanks for providing this outlet for me to express and share my joy! please pray that i have a smooth surgery and that everything goes good!!

my insurance required 6 month NUT visits and to follow their meal plans which i did not as strict as ishould have. my pre op requirement is 10 days which ends tomorrow but i would def double check w;/ insurance and surgeons office as to how much they want you to lose because thats usually why they make you diet for so long. to show that you are committed to the lifestyle change and being able to change your eating habits.

yeah girl!! tomorrow is our day. getting sleeved at noon. gotta be there at ten so ican still sleep in and get my daughter to day care for the day. i am pretty calm tonight too and exhausted. just did my hibiclens shower lol. gonna have a good nights rest. good luck to us and i will pray for you as im wakin up in the morning!!!!!!!! our day has FINALLY come!!!!!

ok so im at work now and feeling a little bit better. ive had 2 cough drops an my throat is good. my ear pain has subsided. i am debating if i should call the surgeons office or not...is it neccessary>???

nooooooo. i woke up in the middle of the night to my throat hurting and my left ear aching the nurse is calling me today between 1-5pm to schedule my surgery. wahhhhh. my ear is killing me and i dunno what to doooo. its just so odd because its only my left ear and the left side of my throat that is bothering me!!!

i was approved through medicare (connecticut) and approved in 8 days! good luck to youuuu
