I've been drinking one 6 oz can of pineapple juice daily since week 2-3. I'm almost 5 weeks now. It helps settle my stomach at night and I'm losing quite fast too.

So I'm 2 weeks post today. I am doing well on soups and mushy foods. I have vomited a few times from taken that one bite too many. Ughh I hate that feeling. I now know when to stop because I usually belch or get the hiccups. I have no problems getting in the water and crystal light. Protein shakes are now disgusting to me but I have managed to get down atleast one per day. I am not itching on my palms and feet. This is so weird and annoying. I am walking 2miles 3x a week. Sometimes I do still experience stomach pain and pain on my right side after walking. How are all my fellow Sleevers doing? Feel free to share your experiences. Best wishes:-)

I tried to make it 12 months, but that crap is for the birds...
I wonder what the best first drink is?? I'm such a beer drinker, but don't want the carbination i haven't had carbination at all...
I'm afraid vodka will knock me out, and i don't do wine... Humm not a bunch to choose from, sugary stuff makes me caca..

Hello Sleevers...well today I'm 7days post op and im feeling great. My follow up appt with surgeon is tomorrow. I have been taking my vitamins regularly and meds when needed. I do not have much stomach pain anymore. I'm happy about that. I don't have much of an appetitie and when I do eat its only a lil bowl of creamy soup using my 2yrs old's toddler bowl. Lol. I get full really quick. I am trying to keep up with my liquids. Its so difficult because I want to gulp it down but I can't lol. As far as the protein shakes....I haven't really been drinking them. They are disgusting and they give me horrible gas lol. I'm sure my doctor will go over my diet with me again but right now the crystal light, water, creamy soups, applesauce, sf jello, and sf pudding works fine for me. I did try a piece of a french fry and a hamburger pattie(both the size of my fingernail) but I had no desire for it. Yay!!!! How are u guys doing? Sending happy thoughts and prayers to everyone:-)

I'm doing well. Stomach pain isn't too bad today. I'm able to move around more. I'm still sipping on crystal light and water. I don't have an urge to drink or eat anything but SF popsicles. I can't wait until the gas pains subside. That's the worst of it all. I'm on Lortab for the pain and it really helps a lot, although it does put me to sleep. Surgery went well yesterday. I was disharged today and I'm so happy to be home. I am in some pain but the pain meds are helpful. I'm also havng trouble getting comfortable because of the stomach pain. I haven't been able to get down much water but I have been sipping here and there. I did eat a sugar free popsicle today. I can't believe I'm Post Op day 1. I'm really proud of myself for going through with the procedure. You all have helped me get through this and I wouldn't have been able to do it without my VSG family! I wish everyone much success and I'm sending prayers and blessing to u all;-)
