  1. I was scheduled for surgery tomorrow and just got a call from my Dr. saying medicare decided to to cover it. He tried to talk me into a R&Y Bypass, but I'm not doing that. Good luck to everyone else, my journey here is over!

  3. I'll be getting sleeved this Friday, I'm ready to get it over with.
  4. I'm on day 10 of my pre op diet, my surgery is Friday. When I get really hungry between protein shakes I have a cup of low sodium chicken or beef bullion, that seems to kill my hunger for a while.

  6. You can usually find fiber gummies at Walmart, that or Miralax has no taste or calories and will mix with a shake.

Soy is like anything else, it works for some and is deadly poison to others. It's very much the latter for me.

I don't care for regular whey, but I have no problems with whey isolate. Whey isolate is lactose free.
  11. Oz Ley replied to LLuce's topic in Food and Nutrition
I would stick with Whey, soy can be your best friend or worse enemy. Took me a while to figure out I was allergic to it. I could stand in a walk in freezer and sweat buckets and constantly breaking out with hives and itching real bad. I blamed it on everything else in the world, but in the end it was the soy protein. Once I stopped using it I had no more problems.

  20. I'm in Louisiana and was approved by Medicare yesterday.
  21. I got approved today. The lady said I'd be getting another call within the next couple days to schedule surgery.
  22.    MsVeDub reacted to a post in a topic: Had My Sleep Study Last Night...
  23. I had sleep apnea so bad the sleep study was the first time I got anything close to a good nights sleep in years. It took a couple of adjustments to get me tweaked in and it was goodnight Irene! I never thought I'd be able to sleep with a mask on, now I can't imagine not having it. I do hope that after I get sleeved I'll be able to get off the BiPAP, but I sure have slept like never before since I started using it. I was so tired all the time I would just about fall asleep at red lights, it was getting dangerous.

  25. I'm lactose intolerant and allergic to soy. Try to find a protein that 100% whey protein isolate, it's lactose free. I buy the 5 lb. unflavored NOW 100% Whey Protein Isolate from Swanson for around $52. I add one of those walmart brand sugar free wild strawberry drink packs to it and it taste great.

  27. I sure hope this gets straightened out for you, I would be upset too.

  29. I've taken Flexeril off and on after having two back surgeries, it dries me out BIG TIME when I take it. Might be dangerous after WLS when you're trying to stay hydrated. JMO
