Does anyone know if the gastric sleeve is covered by medicare/medical?

Thank you'all so much! I have my consultation at the end of this month and a seminar at the beginning of November! Honestly i was all about the lap band but i have heard so much negative and i believe the sleeve is what will be best for me!!! I cant wait for the consultation!!! Thanks so much everyone!!!

Desertmom- seeing that you have had both... can you get stuck(food stuck) with the sleeve or is that just the lap band? Also does anyone know if u are able to get pregnant after having the sleeve? I am young and would like to have kids some day :-) thank you to everyone and your responses, you are all amazing!!!

Hello everyone, i just want to start out by saying i have only been on here a couple of days and i love it...all the info,the people and responses are just great!!! I am 250lbs 5'4 and 26 years old i am really considering doing the lap band surgery and have my first consultation at the end of this month and my seminar at the beg. of november. I Still have alot of ?'s like what is all this talk about "stuck" food getting stuck? it scares me, how bad is this? please be honest! thanks so much!!!
