  1. what a wonderful thing to say. I never thought of that. Thanks.
  2. Many years ago I broke a chair in a thin families' home. Awful and I wasn't over 200 then either. it is so embarrassing. My obese son has broken many things. My husband and son were fooling around and I needed a new sofa. two years ago my son broke my recliner. He is now trying to loose weight on his own. I have had a few taped toilet seats in the past. Duct tape does a great job.
  3. That is super. Every once I celebrate. I love the gym and never thought I would.
  4. It is up to your doctor and dietitian about having the shakes. I know I get in a lot of Protein that way and I hate eggs so this is my breakfast everyday. I am boring and only have them one way and don't try other flavors unless it was a mocha flavor.
  5. I use chocolate Body Fortress. I use 2 scoops, 8 oz of skim milk, a little decaf instant coffee, peppermint extract and lots of ice. I use a blender and its as thick as a McDonalds shake. I have one every morning. I hate Breakfast foods. I love this. Good luck
  6. Happy birthday to all your family members. My son has not been plowed out yet so I hope he makes it to his own party.

Am I the only Bandster that hates fast food? my grandsons always want it and I always take them to sit down restaurants because I think fast food tastes awful. At McDonald's the only thing I would eat are salt free fries. I don't use salt. to me fast food is pizza and we have a love story. I can't go without pizza. That is one thing I have to have. I know it's not the best to eat but I was told there are no, no foods by my dietitian. tomorrow my son will be 38 and his wife is having a surprise party at a pub and ordering appetizers. I don't know if I will eat any of them, though but I will be there to celebrate with everyone. Have a great Sunday everyone.
  8. Like everyone before me, Welcome. This is the greatest site for finding out everything you want to know and ask all the questions you want. I noticed you said you have asthma, is this something recent? I was told I had it then COPD and after many tests it was a hernia that was repaired with the Lap Band. My stomach was also in the wrong place and that was also fixed. I took 6 pills a day to eat without 24/7 of coughing. Now I take 0 pills for eating. I am sure you will do well. Just remember, chew, chew, chew.
  9. Hi, I don't know about your doctor but I can only take chewables or liquid.I was told never swallow pills. Maybe check again with your doctor. Good luck.
  10. I am a tea only drinker, hot or iced. I drink about a gallon a day and pee all night. I have a large salad about 1 hour before dinner almost every day and that way I know I am eating some veggies because I am not a veggie eater. Stay warm, the roads are reopened in MA.
  11. I am much older than you so my skin is loose. I apply more crap on my face in one day than most people do in a week to try to look better. You are very lucky not to have the excess saggy skin.
  12. Thank you everyone. I don't do medical videos. I have never looked at my ultra sounds, ex rays or Lap Band videos either. I think I may just leave the face alone except maybe one day Botox. I'll see when I get to a weight I am happy with.
  13. thank you very much. I think I just changed my mind. I have been awake for a few surgeries in the past and they are not as bad as you think. The thought is what bothers me here. I did a breast tumor (benign), carpel tunnel and eye lift, all awake. The eye was not cosmetic but a droopy eye lid. Thank you everyone for the help.
  14. Good afternoon from blizzard Boston. Has anyone had or know of some one who had a Life Style Lift? as seen on tv. I know it is faster and much cheaper than a full face lift. When I pull back my cheeks I look so much better. I still have more weight to lose before I would do this procedure. Thanks for the help.
  15. I also am surrounded by 30". I am south of Boston. Great laundry day. Stay warm.
  16. Thank you for doing your wonderful job. I thank the people at my mother's nursing home all the time. she has dementia but knows her 3 children. She knows the faces of her grandsons but not their names. She sometimes remembers my father and they were married for 67 years when he died. My mother will be 95 in July and my oldest brother and I wish she would just close her eyes. Enough is enough. There should be a pill.

they only asked for bras. You bring them to your local Soma store. That I can't help you with. I know my local one is about 5 miles from my house. Giving your clothes to Hospice is wonderful of you.
  18. Wonderful. When I started at the gym in December, I could only do the bike for 5 minutes and now 25-30 minutes. We all start slow. My son last night told me the bike is a waste and to do the elliptical even if I only do a few minutes and work it up. A trainer at the gym also told me the bike is a waste. Because of knee and back troubles I can never use a treadmill. My husband does it. Have fun at the gym.

you didn't say you were from the Boston area. So of course it will be hard to get a doctor to talk to this weekend but then they may be on call. Be safe in this storm. I live south shore, Randolph.

When in doubt-call the doctor. This has not happened to me. The doctors are there with all the answers even on weekends. Good luck.

Good afternoon from blizzard Boston. In the local paper there was an article from Soma Intimates. They said that when women that leave their abusive person they usually forget bras. So Soma is collecting used and new bras for DOVE. I know having lost weight I have many large sized bras. Maybe some of you do to and we can all donate them. Enjoy your TGIF.
  22. Since dieting in March down a total of 68. The surgery was in July and that amount is 40 of that 68.
  23. One of my many dietitians said that you need to increase calories, also. I do about 1200-1300 a day with 100g of protein. I try to go to the gym everyday but lately it's been 4 times a week. I understand because my weight has not changed for 2 months but the inches have.
