  1. there is a nasal b-12 called Ener-B you can get it at GNC it is a little gel drop that goes in your nose and is absorbed that way. I prefer the sublingual, it's also cheaper... (the sublingual is cheaper)..You couldn''t swallow enough B-12 pills todo any good for you....
  2. That's awesome. you're jammin' girl!
  3. Awesome, you did awesome not over-eating. The sleeve really works if you work it....
  4. are you anxious or have a history of anxiety? You should see the dr...Stress/anxiety can cause h/a, shakiness.
  5. I'll just ask for a container or take one with (to reunions) ....I've thought about this as well....
  6. You're funny as hell... who cares what they think, getting your whole body into it plus walking is awesome exercise!!! And the mental benefit is through the roof!
  7. I agree with you totally. I don't WANT that "full" feeling to be like it was before. I want to stop before i get to that point... I am 6 days out and i am doing probably about 1/3 cup at a time and plan to continue it. seem s like if i do 1/2 cup its too much right now. It depends on how quickly i take in the liquid....
  8. I'm the 28th, that's not real close but in a few weeks we'll all be in about the same stage of our sleevehood!
  9. I feel you should weigh what you want to weigh. If its 200lbs you're better off than if you weighed 300lbs, If you look and feel good at a goal weight that is above the area that THEY call obese SO WHAT... as long as you're happy there, go for it!
  10. I feel like i'm ready to go to work, and my drain is already out. It came out day 3. I can get by without any physical straining activity at my job. I had it okay'd with the DON. I can't afford to take off more than 2 weeks. I had to take off to go have the surgery done in mexico....But i feel good. I've been going for walks, doing light housework, no lifting of course for 4-6 weeks...
  11. it is not unusual to have a "Let-down" period and or depression after surgery of any kind. But going to a psychiatrist is always a good decision if you feel like you need it. We All could use a psychiatrist truth be known... I'm 5 days out and i'm having a jet-lagged, let-down period that started yesterday...I think it will lift when i'm feeling better. I went for a few short walks yesterday and today and it helped alot. Trying to gain support from family/friends/and these forums...Hang in there it will lift soon hopefully...

I'm 5 days post op was your surgery the 27th? I'm doing well too i think. Sounds like you're doing great. Let's keep in touch! I'm only having some incisional pain and a weird feeling in my stomach. Doing clear liquids still...
  14. I'm five days post-op so i'm craving creamy stuff even. Still doing clear liquids! But that lobster tail sounds great. I get what you're saying totally....
  15. Make sure you're getting your protein in. You have to have it to recover, and lose wt...
  16. that Lug! Yes you can gain wt. during stress, your body releases cortisone during stressful times (surgery included), and can make you gain/bloat. I'm so sorry for you but you will get on track and be hotter than ever. You'll show him!!!!
  17. That's a good amount of wt. loss! You're doing awesome! You look great!!!
  18. Congratulations to all of you preparing to have surgery!
  19. The eating slow thing is hard for me as well...
  20. Can you add some lemon juice to your water? Might help some. Use bottled water it's more refreshing...
  21. That's awesome! You're jammin'
  22. So I was scheduled to have lap-band surgery Aug 28th with Dr. Almanza 45 min before the procedure they asked me if I wanted to change to VSG and i said YES! I had thought of changing but thought I was obligated (and had only paid) for the lap-band. They recommended the VSG over lap-band very highly and I changed to VSG. I'm glad i did, and am glad they let me. The experience there was great. I didin't get to stay at the recovery house (remodelling) but the clinica was exceptionally clean, staff was VERY attentive (i'm a RN) and i was very impressed with the care and cleanliness of the facilities. It's not fancy mind you, but it was a very good experience. Close and personal care is what i received. Never got in severe pain post op, meds brought every 4 hours on the money every-time... I would recommend this facility and Dr. Almanza to anyone who is considering VSG. THanks for reading my jumbled thoughts, kinda tired will post more some other time on the experience...
