Surgery Date - September 17

I have not stopped smiling since I found out on Tuesday when I was having surgery. :D I had tears of joy. My daughters were with me when I found out were just as excited. My hubby was all smiles and excited for the journey that is before me. He had gastric bypass in 2008 and has done great. I am going to the same doctor that did his surgery. And I have the family and friends support.

I start my liquid diet on 9/3 but I started replacing meals this past Wednesday. I just did not want to be back at working starting the liquid diet, at least I will be use to it by Monday. So I have gone to Sam's Club and picked up 6 boxes of protein shakes, water, propel zero water, chicken noodle soup (just have to strain the noodle and chicken bits for the broth but it is better than just chicken broth to me) things I have to get is SF Jell-O and SF popsicles. :)

I am glad to hear that you are doing great after surgery. How are you doing today.

I am very excited and can't wait. I'm trying not to compare myself to all the other success stories for I know everyone is different but the ones that are saying 30 lbs in 2 months oh my goodness I can only imagine. My highest weight was 340 I'm down to 298 and all of that I did prior to deciding to have to surgery so to imagine a lot more to come off I can not wait!!!

I know that you are excited. Do you have to do a liquid diet also?

Yes mine starts tomorrow. This may sound weird but I'm not scared or nervous YET! Just excited and anxious!! I would go tomorrow if they would let me!

@ Whitsmom08 - I know what you mean by not being scared or nervous yet. I am just anxious, but I have started my countdown.

@msnea I've been counting down since I got my date. My whole process has been very quick! I already 6 months of weigh ins and I got my nutritionist, psych eval, and physical therapy eval within 3 days and it only took insurance 5 business days to approve it. I'm trying not to overload my family with my excitement and count down but I'm like a kid in toys r us!

Congratulations to all of you preparing to have surgery!

Yeah my official day to start my liquid diet is on the 3rd but i am starting tomorrow because I want to get the 2 torture days out of the way.
