Hello all I had surgery on 9/17/12 and I have experience the same thing. Everything was fine until Tuesday 10/23 and all if a sudden I start vomiting every hour. Call the my surgeon office and they had me come in on 10/24 and had an upper gi done again to see if I had a narrowing and sure enough I have a narrowing in my stomach. All I can get in my stomach is 2 oz of food. I will find out what they are going to do next Thursday. So I am back to soft puree food and if I have difficult with that I have to go all the way back to just liquids until I am seen again. I was at our phase 1 which was cheese, crackers, deli turkey meat, eggs, tuna and chicken salad, and watermelon, etc.

I am glad you have a okay day at work. I go back on Monday so i am nervous about that also. I know what you mean about hormone because I had that same problem last weekend with my hubby, everything just got on my nerves. Well I hope that you are feeling better this evening. Take care of yourself.

I was told that because of the longer staple line that 5 weeks out I could still have leaks. I just have to be careful on the puree diet and the progression stages.

Thank you all. It was struggle the first two day trying to get my 40 oz in and 50+ Protein in but Saturday it just clicked. I pray that we all have great success and we can encourage each other along this lifestyle journey. Stay sweet Nae

Today I had my first post op appointment and it went very well. The Nut stated that I was getting my Protein and my fluids in. She actually liked the way my liquid log book was and I can incorporated it into my puree diet into my food log. I can start puree stage on Monday along with my other medicine (calcium, B12 shot once a month, and iron). The big news is that I have lose 10.4 pounds. I am so excited and proud of myself. It took a long time getting to this point but I am here. Thanks Nae

I do the same as you. I get 4oz of protein and the sames for snack.

Thanks!! Yes surgery went well. I came home on Wednesday. I am just trying to get my protein in and also the the fluids in for the day.

Thank you nursgirl. I am eating every 2 to 3 hours but I am not get all my fluids in but I can get my Protein in.

Can I ask a question: How often are you all drinking through out the day. And how many ounces are you drinking at on time. Thanks Nae

I am 4 days out and I was wondring how often you drinking or eating your clear liquids. I am trying to get my protein intake to 60 grams. Thanks Nae

Thank you for the best wishes. Surgery went great did not get to my room until 4:15 but I was out of it still. Just finished my walk two times around the floor my goal is to do 3 times.next time. Overall I feel good just hurts at the inision line. Bye for now.

Just been a little dizzy Bp has been winning normaal then would drop so I have nor been walking yet bit have been moving my legs to keep circulation going. But overall I feel great. Good morning everyone, My surgery is Monday (9/17) morning and I am the 1st case. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30. So today and tomorrow will be busy getting things together for me, my hubby, and our girls. In the mist of it all throwing a Birthday party for my daughter that is turning 10 tomorrow. I am just so excited that this day has arrived. I can say that I have an out pour of support from the co-workers that do know and that is a good feeling expecially when you work with them 8 hours out of the day. So I am blessed to have good understanding co-workers. Stay sweet
