  1. Today I am at the hositpal getting all the fluid taken out of my band and all I keep thinking is wow I hope I don't gain back all of the 40lbs I lost while going threw all this stuff for my insurance approval !
  2. 71 lbs is amazing too ! Great job all of you ! And I have not seen the 100s in 15 years ! You should be so proud of yourself ! I hope and pray all will go threw with my insurance and I can be a success story also !

  4. I am is the prossess of trying to get my band to sleeve revision ... Had swallow test yesturday ... Band empty on the 30th and the endo. on the 26 of sept. . Are you vomiting alot ?I know I am and I fugured that why I had to do all that
  5. Today my doctor said that a revision surgey is needed ! Now the hard part waiting ! I hope uhc works fast and I get this approved fast ! Please pray for a speedy approval for me ! Lots of love ! I hope I can be a success story just like so many of you !
  6. Congrats been following your post I also have uhc epo and go to my doctor on friday 8/14 to see about having the band taken off and made into the sleeve and I am worried about my insurance the most. Love hearing stories that are good with uhc!

  8. Thank you everybody ! Your input meant alot . I called my insurance today they so cover baractric surgey and revision surgey it just up to my doctor's notes on what they do . my appointment has been moved to friday the 16 or 17 th not surs what day lol . I now going around getting my diet doctor notes who I have seen every month for 2 years and lost a grand total of 12 lbs in two years lol ya after I had the flu which thank god she documented . Also have to get proof of my gym memembership and my personal trainer notes that I had for one month . Notes from my denist about how years of threwing up is really start to destroy my teeth and notes from my obgyn about my prenancy diabeties and the other weight related issues and also blood work and see my primary care doctor. I also have my husbands insurance as a secondy insurance so maybe they might step up where my insurance won't . Sorry I feel like I am a pain with all the questions . I just went into the lap band without thinking or doing my homework . Which I regret so bad now ! I have been heavy for 20 years now all I what is to finally be free from this weight ! And tyi dye best of luck with your surgey !

  10. My question maybe stupid but I was wondering if they do this band over bypass surgey will they leave your band on and do the sleeve or bypass just been wondering because I want this so bad and I am affarid my insurance is going to not approve me for both band removal and sleeve
  11. Thank you everybody for the advise ! I do have my paperwork and weight in's from, proof from my gym proving memembership (never hurt to try) a letter from my denist saying that the therwing up is doing damange to my teeth and also where my primany care doctor put me on a supervisored diet with 3 weight in docoumented .
  12. I am just wondering if anybodies insurance componany consider having the band removed as another wls ? I am with united health and they only will pay for one wls in a lifetime . I had my band put on blue cross and blue sheild so dont have to worry about that . Just worried about what they consider for band removal
  13. Thank you and are very sorry for the troubles u are having . I work with the state of maryland so I dont think the employer will be the problem . I didn't use them to have my lap band put on . I have been going to a diet doctor for 2 years now never lost over 10 lbs and I also have my proof of my gym memember ship so I am hoping that will help and my bmi is 44 so I hope it works in my favor
  14. If you guys dont mind me asking did your insurance give u a problem? and did they consider your band removal another weight loss surgey ? I go to see my doctor on friday to see about band removal and get the sleeve .
