Wls4me got a reaction from Fiddleman in Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?
W1D3 had to overcome one of my biggest fears. The first 2 days I ran it was just my daughters and I, no one else around (Spring Break). Today all the ball fields were full with teams practicing and there were several people walking the track. I actually had to walk/run around them! What?? It felt like they were staring at me as I jiggled by (I'm 6 weeks PO). But I did it! A month ago would have gotten right back in my car and gone home. Reading everyone's posts have given me the encouragement to do this! Thank you everyone!

Wls4me reacted to Butterthebean in Vet's Forum
I haven't thrown up since that damn barium swallow. That had me retching. And in between retches I was begging me wife "help me, help me." After a few minutes it was "kill me, kill me." I had that feeling of ....what have I done? But it eventually passed and I've been fine ever since. In fact, many is the day I've wanted to write one of those "the doctor didn't remove enough stomach" threads. But I have too much self respect.

Wls4me reacted to puppyphat in Vet's Forum
I'm 6 months post op, have more than 300 posts, and have been at maintenance for a couple of months. I don't consider myself a vet, but lurk these threads because the vets are talking about what I want to know. Stuff that's relevant to me. I won't post on them, but I do get a lot of good info. I'm with every1 else that says non vets shouldn't post, but please don't make it a closed group. I need it!!!

Wls4me reacted to mark! in How Soon Can I Resume My Pre-Sleeve Eating Lifestyle?!?!
I really really have to bite my tongue sometimes here. I see people posting crap all the time, don't wanna work out, don't wanna eat right, don't wanna do this or that, I mean come on seriously? Laziness and inability to control eating habits got 90% of us here, yet we're still going to b***h and moan when we've been given this 2nd chance at life. Buck up, put in the work, do what you know you have to do and have success.

Wls4me got a reaction from Butterthebean in How do you avoid wasting?
I am trying to change the way I think about "wasting" and being bother by throwing food away. As most of you said, I too hate wasting food. However, I was just "wasting" it on my hips rather than the trash can. I didn't need or use the extra food and was just storing it anyway. Trying to change that thought process and let the garbage man store it for me

Wls4me got a reaction from fyre_storm in Blue balls
How did I know that Fyre and Laura would be involved in a thread titled "blue balls"?

Wls4me got a reaction from Fiddleman in Camping food...
I'm sure you've already gone to the store by now but we do foil packs all the time when camping. You could modify to your food stage right now. Take canned chicken and green Beans, fold it up in foil and throw it on the fire or get a small propane stove. You could change it up every day with ham, chicken, tuna, sausage or whatever pickled baloney and veggies u like. That'll give you 1 hot meal a day and some variety. That's how we camp.

Wls4me got a reaction from Fiddleman in Protein, carbs, water - Oh My!
Thank you both! Very useful info. I never really took the time to care about it before because I had a "surplus". Now that I take in very little I'm trying to do it right. Thanks again!

Wls4me got a reaction from LisaT678 in Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?
OMG! W1/D1 kicked my arse!! But ill do it again in 2 days! I have never been a runner, was always the kid walking the mile in school. But I did it today! (Granted I was rather slow)

Wls4me reacted to Fiddleman in Has anyone taken "HYDROXYCUT" after VSG surgery?
I think everyone should be free to use whatever aids they feel will help them in achieving their goals. No need to condone anyone if they decide to use hydroxycut or some other diet pill. A warning might be OK if you feel such a diet pill is dangerous or detrimental, but no parenting please. We are all adults and live in a free society ( for now). This means we can do what we please if it is not illegal, dangerous or harming someone else.

Wls4me got a reaction from Takingcontrol in I ate Easter Dinner
And it went down so well! Ham 3oz, 3 green Beans and about 1tsp of mashed potatoes. Strange how I'm satisfied with that small amount. First "real meal" I've had since surgery. Sleeved 2/27.
