  1. Hi, I'm going to put my two cents in. It's a very personal decision. Don't let anyone tell you any differently. I feel very alone in what I have had done to myself. I am one month out today. Yes, I'm down in weight but at what cost? I have a hard time drinking anything, I burp constantly, my new past time is vomiting. Do I regret it, honestly, a little; yes I do. Everyone makes it sound so wonderful, and yes, the weight loss is terrific. I'm down 35 pounds so far. Look at your co-morbidities. Talk to a doctor and then another one. Find a few people that you can talk to face to face and really ask them how they feel about it. I thought I was prepared. I did the six months that my insurance company wanted me to do. I was honest with the shrink I had to talk to. It's just that no one can fully prepare you for the changes. Best of luck with your decision, I'm just glad you are really thinking it over.
  2. 'm almost three weeks out and combined with the six months pre-surgery, two week fast and 19 days post-op, I'm down 45 pounds. Hoot hoot!!!!! My question to you all is how many of you have met the goal that you and your doctor set? Thank you in advance!!
  3. Holy cow!! I developed oral thrush and talk about painful!! Wish I'd been warned about this possibility. It got so bad it started going down my throat. I have barely gotten any water down let alone protein. Anyone else?
  4. Hi, I had my sleeve yesterday and lucky for me, I haven't had a lot of pain. I imagine just soreness around the incisions. I've been walking even got a Popsicle today. Life is good!!
  5. I've been here two hours and am prepped and ready to go. waitin for the surgeon and off I go!!!!
  6. Tomorrow is my day too!! So excited. Good luck to you!!!
  7. Thank you all, appreciate the help.
  8. My surgery is Tuesday!!! I've waited the 6 months, I'm down 30# already. I'm worried about the bowel prep tomorrow. How bad is it?
  9. I started in January and went in every month to get weighed and talk to the PA. I had to write down what I ate and she helped me make better choices. After six months, my info went to our insurance company and I heard back (yes) in two days!!! Got scheduled, etc. and my surgery is Tuesday!! So excited, scared and lots of other emotions. With the 6 months, I dropped 15# and with the protein fast, I'm down another 15.
