  1. WOW 28-100!! I wonder how many i had. I am waiting for my results. They gave me the CPAP in the middle of my first study, so I dont have to go back for another one first. Man that made me feel kinda scared to sleep without the CPAP now... but i mean. I guess i have been doing it for 27 years. I hope you get it soon and you do get good quality sleep. I used mines only 1 night and i woke up feeling pretty tired. So im hoping i just have to get used to it or something.
  2. I am exactly the same as you, I totally relate! I am 4'11 (currently 255) and it was nice to hear my doctor say that I will be a nice size at 150. Most doctors tell me 114 and that sounds SOOO scary to me!! Anyhow I have no idea what either of these weights will look like on me lol so One day at a time like you!
  3. Yes I am looking forward to getting some good REM sleep lol
  4. Congrats and good luck!!! BTW I am from St. Lucie County (I supposed you know where that is, near Miami lol)
  5. i have no date yet, its looking like January (as I started the 6 mo supervised diet THIS month lol), so I am very early but I am trying to learn as much as I can! Thanks for your perspective, I hope my surgery/recovery goes just as easy as yours! As of now I am not scared, but i do think ill be crying for a few days right before surgery lol. Im a cry baby haha plus i never had surgery before! I hope you start having an easier time getting those liquids down I heard some people say that Water was the hardest to get down, but when they put 1/2 water 1/2 juice it was easier, or warm stuff like tea was easier, and you still get your water in. Dunno if that will help you
  6. So u get less sleep now? Isn't that kinda backwards?
  7. WOW I can't believe they let you go that long! They told me before they hooked me up that if i stop breathing 15+ times they will give it to me immediately, I guess they were not trying to have anyone die up in there! I haven't gotten official results so i dont know how many times i stopped breathing yet. I hope you get the machine soon! According to them, i slept much better with it, but i dont feel any better yet. Ill give it time. I dont really want to take a sleeping pill but that might help until i get used to it like you said! Ill ask about that!
  8. I went for my sleep study night before last, and they woke me up in the middle of the night and gave me a CPAP!! I dont even have to go back, i guess it was THAT BAD! They said I woke up 15+ times in one hour Anyhow, i used it for the first time last night......... i was looking forward to waking up feeling fantastic, but im just as tired as i usually am It wasnt too uncomfortable. I noticed that the air would ramp up randomly though, which was uncomfy and putting it back on while 1/2 asleep after coming from the bathroom was a pain. When will it start making me feel really good in the morning?

  10. I understand. People keep telling me that with my new CPAP machine, the 6 month supervised diet and exercise, i might not need the surgery. But i feel the same... well the last 20 years have been unsuccessful, im not gonna rely on this diet this time, and i am moving forward with the surgery as well. What is your surgery date? do you have one yet? Also.... how did you put up your before/after pic? I cant figure it out!!! lol
  11. awww are you far away now? Wait a minute.. you had to do a supervised diet for a year?
  12. Hi! If there is anyone out there that lives in or near Alexandria, VA and would like to get together to exercise once or twice a week, please let me know! I am just staring my 6 month supervised program. However, ANYONE is welcomed, wether you are just starting like me, you are pre-op, or post-op! I figure it'll be fun to workout together and support each other! **Suggestions welcomed too!!**
  13. Awesome!! I love this pic and im so happy for you!!! I know that has to be a FANTASTIC feeling!!!
  14. I also have the 6 month diet thing. I was kinda bummed at first but now i realize this is a HUGE change, and these 6 months could make or break your success. You will learn about eating habits that will help you be successful post-op, prepare your mind, and the psych appointment will also help. In addition, execise is needed and 1 good thing is you can start tightening your skin now so that it wont end up being ultra saggy Look at the bright side. I started my 6 mo plan TODAY so maybe we can be surgery buddies!!
  15. lol I know i feel overwhelmed. I also have to get a sleep study, and endoscopy!! I will be overly prepared on surgery day lol
  16. Congrats and good luck!!! Cant wait for your reports from "the other side"
  17. For me, it is required by my Insurance company, and my surgeons office as well. I also have to do the 6 month diet AND sit with a exercise specialist, dietary specialist and a behavioral health specialist! They require alot!
  18. Ive not yet been tested, but I am pretty sure i have atleast mild sleep apnea. I have most of the symptoms and the extreme complaints I get about snoring just kind of confirm everything in my head. My sleep study is next week. Id love to NOT have sleep apnea, however, id love to have a solution to the "being tired all day from the moment i wake up to the moment I go back to bed" issue. *sigh*
  19. Thanks Jimmy for all your advice and resources! I bought my 5lbs weights today, and will be buying ankle weights later on. I am going to start now.. Not having surgery for another 6 months lol but I am obviously obsessed with not having loose skin
  20. Thats really sad that he doesn't support you Im so sorry you have to go through that. I am also 27, with sleep apnea and 255lbs. I have been on here just a few days and the support is amazing! If you have no one else to support you, meet people here and I think that will help a bunch!!
